Sherwin: Fine after comeback
Castleford are without in-form prop Liam Higgins for up to a month after he suffered a knee injury in last week's win at Wigan.
Youngster Nathan Massey is competing with Dean Widders for Higgins' place in the starting line-up.
Coach Terry Matterson is also without long-term absentees Ryan Clayton (shoulder) and Ryan Boyle (ankle), but Brent Sherwin suffered no ill-effects from his comeback match at the JJB.
"I'm expecting a very tough challenge from Salford," he said. "I watched them at Wakefield last week and they would have been disappointed not to get more out of the game, although Wakefield played well.
"For our part I'm looking for us to combine the best elements from our first two games, the defensive work we put in against Harlequins and the attack at Wigan, but we know that we will have to go well to take the points."
Salford make one change to last week's 19-man squad with teenager Stefan Ratchford replacing Lee Jewitt, who is still suffering the effects of a virus.
Head coach Shaun McRae said: "We've had a virus affect the camp in the early part of the week. There were some players who were poorly at Wakefield last week but were considered fit enough to play.
"Lee Jewitt has been ruled out through illness and Richie Myler has been struggling. He has missed a training session but there is every chance he will play on Saturday."
Castleford 19-man squad: Owen, Dixon, Shenton, Evans, Wainwright, Chase, Sherwin, Sargent, Hudson, Huby, Ferres, Westerman, Jones, Feather, Massey, Netherton, Faumina, McGoldrick, Widders.
Salford 19-man squad: Fitzpatrick, Wilshere, Henry, Talau, Turner, Smith, Myler, Cashmere, Alker, Stapleton, Sibbit, Parker, Swain, Nash, Littler, Leuluai, Paul, Adamson, Ratchford.
