Myler: Heel injury
Salford's Richie Myler may not be at The Willows next season after rejecting a new deal - and the Reds could get a taste of life without him for the visit of Huddersfield.
The 19-year-old scrum-half is one of the hottest properties in Super League - particularly after scoring 30 points on his England debut.
And although his destination next season is unclear - Salford could have to cope without Myler in the more immediate future.
Myler is struggling with a heel injury and is rated as doubtful for the clash with the Giants.
"Richard's struggling a bit and we'll have a look at him closer to the time," coach Shaun McCrae told the club's official site.
"He's been under a lot of pressure of late anyway but now his heel has flared up and causing him some discomfort."
The Reds will also be without Willie Talau (scaphoid) and second rower Rob Parker (fractured skull) for the match.
Huddersfield have injury issues of their own as they look to avenge the defeat they suffered against the Reds at the Galpharm Stadium.
Centre Jamahl Lolesi has been ruled out with a knee injury so teenage prospect Michael Lawrence will take his place.
However the Giants are able to name prop Darrell Griffin in their squad after he escaped a suspension for a reckless tackle.
And Huddersfield stand-off Kevin Brown admitted it was going to be a hard match against Salford.
"It's always tough at the Willows, I've been there a few times with Wigan and a couple of times with Huddersfield and it's never an easy game," Brown told the club's official site.
"The changing rooms are small, the crowd gets on your back and if you've not got a focused attitude, you know you won't get the win."
Salford's 19-man squad: Wilshere, Henry, Walton, Turner, Stapleton, Smith, Myler, Cashmere, Alker, Jewitt, Sibbit, Sidlow, Swain, Goulding, Littler, Leuluai, Adamson, Ratchford, Paul.
Huddersfield's 19-man squad: B Hodgson, Brown, Whaturia, D Hodgson, Fulton, Robinson, Crabtree, Faiumu, D Griffin, Wild, Finnigan, P Jackson, Mason, Lawrence, Moore, Cudjoe, Lunt, Mossop, Sculthorpe.
