Riddell: Missing for the Warriors
Prop Keith Mason and hooker Scott Moore have been dropped by Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown following an alleged breach of club discipline.
An internal investigation is underway and although the club has not divulged a reason for their actions, it is thought to relate to an incident at a reception held in the weake of the Giants Challenge Cup final defeat to Warrington.
It is a disappointing end to the regular Super League season for the duo - Mason was this week named the coaches' player of the year while Moore's form earned a call-up to the England squad earlier in the year.
Their places in the 19-man squad for the visit of Wigan are taken by Keal Carlile and Josh Griffin in the only changes to last week's ssquad that beat Crusaders 42-16.
Mark Riddell will be missing for Wigan Warriors at the Galpharm, after being granted compassionate leave to return to Australia.
The former St George Illawarra hooker left for Sydney on Thursday after being informed of a death in the family, although he is expected to return in time for the play-offs.
Mike McIlorum, who has not played for two months because of a knee injury, will return to take Riddell's place.
Coach Brian Noble has also called up reserve players Josh Veivers, son of assistant coach Phil, and Ben Davies.
The two youngsters are on stand-by, along with Karl Pryce, to cover for injuries to centre George Carmont and stand-off Sam Tomkins.
Huddersfield squad: B. Hodgson, Aspinwall, Whaturia, D. Hodgson, Fulton, Robinson, Crabtree, Faiumu, D. Griffin, Raleigh, Wild, P. Jackson, Lawrence, Cudjoe, Lunt, J. Griffin, Carlile, Larne, Sculthorpe.
