Kirmond: Back off loan
In-form Huddersfield Giants can secure fifth place in Super League if they continue their fine run with a win over the struggling Catalans Dragons.
The Giants have won four in a row and making it five will secure their play-off spot in fifth and a home tie against either Castleford or Crusaders.
French side Catalans will be going all out for the win though, as a defeat would consign them to the wooden spoon this season.
The hosts are boosted by the return of full-back Clint Greenshields for the match in Perpignan, along with centre Sebastien Raguin and prop forwards Jamal Fakir and Sebastien Martins.
The fixture, which Huddersfield won convincingly 30-8 last season, will mark the farewell of Oliver Elima, Dallas Johnson and Brent Sherwin from the French side.
The Giants have included Danny Kirmond, who has been recalled from his loan spell at Wakefield and is set to make his first appearance of the season.
Prop Darrell Griffin is back after completing a one-match ban, but fellow front-rower Keith Mason remains suspended.
Interestingly, a Giants victory in Perpignan would relegate the losers at the KC Stadium between Hull and Leeds to sixth place, raising the intriguing possibility of a first-ever Hull play-off derby next Friday, with their thrilling clash of two months ago still fresh in the minds.
Dragons squad: Greenshields, Raguin, Sa, McGuire, Elima, Johnson, Gossard, Carlaw, Touxagas, K. Bentley, Martins, Fakir, Casty, Gigot, Stacul, Simon, Vaccari, A. Bentley, Sherwin.
Giants squad: B. Hodgson, Cudjoe, D. Hodgson, Brown, Robinson, Crabtree, Lunt, Gilmour, Fa'alogo, Wild, Raleigh, D. Griffin, Kirmond, Lawrence, Faiumu, Grix, Patrick, Horne, Brough.
