Roby: making 200th appearance
St Helens coach Mick Potter expects a charged atmosphere when they host Castleford in the final ever League game at Knowsley Road on Saturday.
"It's kinda crept up on us this match and I'm sure it will be a special night," Potter told the club's website. "The response of the fans has been excellent to this occasion and there will be a few tears in eyes come the end."
Captain Keiron Cunningham has recovered from a jaw injury to lead his side out while scrum-half Kyle Eastmond has also shaken off a hip problem.
Chris Dean and Paul Clough have been included in Potter's 19-man squad for the match while James Roby makes his 200th appearance.
"Andrew Dixon comes into the reckoning as his ribs are ok and Paul Clough's shoulder is fine too," Potter revealed. "Kyle has recovered from his hip knock too.
"Maurie Fa'asavalu is not too far off as well. It will be an advantage to have him back but he will have to push himself in the team because we have had players going well.
"We'll know more on Leon Pryce shortly as he is due to see a specialist on his neck injury. If it has settled down, he may be right to go in three weeks."
He added: "Castleford are a tricky team to face and they will be desperate to win to give themselves the best chance of finishing eighth.
"I am confident we can break them down but we need to be on our game defensively."
"They play off the cuff and can change direction in their attack. They are very dangerous.
"Confidence is high amongst the players and we are looking forward to the challenges ahead. They are lifting their tempo in training and the spirit and enthusiasm is good."
Castleford coach Terry Matterson is set to stick with the side that beat Harlequins a fortnight ago, although he has called up utility back Jordan Thompson and 17-year-old hooker Daryl Clark, who has yet to play in Super League.
Winger Kirk Dixon is set to make his 100th appearance as the Tigers look to secure a place in the play-offs.
St Helens 19-man squad: Wellens, Gardner, Gidley, Meli, Eastmond, Cunningham, Graham, Puletua, Wilkin, Flannery, Roby, Hargreaves, Moore, Clough, Dean, Dixon, Lomax, Emmitt, Foster.
Castleford Tigers 19-man squad: Dixon, Shenton, Wainwright, Chase, Sargent, Hudson, Huby, Ferres, Snitch, Westerman, Jones, Higgins, Thompson, McGoldrick, Widders, Milner, Walker, Arundel, Clark.
