Wigan coach Shaun Wane has rung the changes to his 19-man squad for Sunday's trip to the Stobart Stadium to face Widnes.

Winger Pat Richards and scrum-half Thomas Leuluai, who are first-team regulars, have been rested along with second row Ben Flower.

The trio have been replaced by youngsters Logan Tomkins, Matthew Russell and Tom Spencer, the latter pair having both been recalled from their dual registration with Leigh.

Stand-off Joe Mellor and centre Anthony Gelling, who have impressed for the U20 side in recent weeks, have also been included in the squad.

New Vikings arrivals John Kite and Cameron Phelps, plus on-loan signing Gareth O'Brien, have been included by coach Denis Betts in his Widnes line-up for the game and are set to make their debuts.

Kite replaces former Wigan prop Ben Cross, who has a calf injury, but Phelps, Jon Clarke, Dave Allen, Shaun Briscoe and Ben Davies all face their old club, along with Stefan Marsh, who is on a season-long loan from the DW Stadium.

The hosts are still searching for their first win since returning to Super League after a six year-absence, while Wigan have won five of six so far.

Widnes squad: Ah Van, Allen, Briscoe, Cahill, Clarke, Craven, Davies, Finnigan, Flynn, Hanbury, Isa, Kite, Marsh, Mullally, O'Brien, Phelps, Pickersgill, White, Winterstein.

Wigan squad: S Tomkins, Charnley, Goulding, Finch, McIlorum, Mossop, Hansen, Hock, O'Loughlin, Lima, Farrell, Tuson, Lauaki, Gelling, Mellor, Hughes, Russell, L Tomkins, Spencer.
