Phil Veivers: Looking for Salford to post their first win in seven attempts
Richard Agar: His Wakefield squad take on Salford with a play-off berth up for grabs
Play-off chasing Wakefield have named an unchanged 19-man squad for their crucial trip to Salford City Reds.
The in-form Wildcats made it six wins on the bounce for the first time in the Super League era with their 22-18 victory last time over Widnes.
If current ninth-placed Bradford win against Catalan Dragons in the earlier kick-off on Saturday, Wakefield must beat Salford to ensure their place in the play-offs and head coach Richard Agar is looking for an improvement in his side's performance from the victory over the Vikings last time.
He told the club's official website: "We are ready for it.
"Some of the stuff that happened in last week's game certainly came at a good time for us. It has enabled us to get away with a below par performance and give ourself an opportunity to have a good look at it and work on some things and realise why they happened and hopefully put them right this week.
"I am delighted with the turnaround the boys have shown in training, their attitudes have been great this week and we just had a really sharp and slick session at the right intensity so we are happy that by the time we get our team run out of the way on Friday we'll be ready to go."
Salford are looking to end the season on a high after their 46-12 thrashing at Leeds last time - their sixth defeat in a row.
That defeat left Phil Veivers' men rooted in 11th in the table, seven points off the play-offs.
Salford squad: Patten, Broughton, Gleeson, Gibson, Williams, Holdsworth, Owen, Walne, Howarth, Boyle, Ashurst, Anderson, Wild, Nero, Veivers, James, Sidlow, Neal, Adamson.
Wakefield squad: Mathers, Fox, Collis, Cockayne, Wood, Wilkes, Ellis, Raleigh, Lauitiiti, Washbrook, Amor, Johnson, Kirmond, Mariano, Smith, Trout, James, Sykes, Smith.
