Half-back Jarrod Sammut is set to face old club Bradford Bulls on his Super League debut for Wakefield Wildcats in Thursday's clash, live on Sky Sports.

The Malta international quit the Bulls for the Wildcats last week and has been cleared to play in the Rapid Solicitors Stadium clash after his visa paperwork was transferred on Tuesday morning.

Sammut goes straight into Richard Agar's 19-man squad for the clash despite a lack of match practice in place of on-loan centre Jimmy Keinhorst, who suffered a recurrence of a hamstring strain against Salford.

The Wildcats lost their season-opener 18-14 to the Red Devils while the Bulls were also defeated after going down 36-18 to Castleford Tigers on Sunday.

Agar was left to rue what might have been at the AJ Bell Stadium, however, he believes there are many positives they can take into their clash against Bradford.

"I thought we played positively with the ball, we just made too many errors," he told the club's official website. "I think we've given everybody a glimpse. We will get better and we're going to need a little bit of luck and we're going to need to find some consistency.

New signing

Bradford's new loan signing Anthony Mullally has been included in Francis Cummins' 19-man squad for Thursday's Yorkshire derby contest.

The Ireland international is set to make an immediate debut with the Bulls having joined on a two-month loan from Huddersfield Giants this week.

Mullally replaces injured back-rower Tom Olbison, who suffered concussion against the Tigers, while the only other change to sees Sam Wood replace fellow youngster Oliver Roberts.

Cummins is hoping his Bradford players can use their heads more than they did against Castleford and be a little more savvy.

"I've never questioned the character of the side but it's that smartness we need at the moment," he told the Telegraph and Argus.

"We made a few yardage errors which allowed Cas back into the match and we gave it back to them too cheaply in the second half."

Wakefield Wildcats: Mathers, Fox, Collis, Lyne, Sykes, Godinet, Anderson, McShane, Raleigh, Lauitiiti, Kirmond, Washbrook, Wildie, Ryan, Tautai, Sammut, Walshaw, Smith, Briscoe.

Bradford Bulls: Donaldson, Henry, Walker, Purtell, Gale, Kear, Gaskell, Sidlow, Bridge, Scruton, George, Mullally, Wood, Manuokafoa, Addy, Foster, Diskin, Kearney, O'Brien.

Don't miss any of the action by tuning into to Sky Sports 1 from 7.30pm on Thursday to see Wakefield Wildcats take on Bradford Bulls
