Salford Red Devils travel to the Select Security Stadium to face Widnes Vikings in Super League on Thursday, live on Sky Sports 1HD.

The sides enter Round 4 of the 2014 campaign level on points, with two wins each, but the Vikings hold a scoring advantage and a game in hand.

Denis Betts' side came from behind to sting 2013 League Leaders' Shield winners Huddersfield Giants last weekend, with Joe Mellor and Rhys Hanbury crossing in the closing stages as Widnes over-turned an eight-point deficit.

Following victories over Wakefield Wildcats and London Broncos, Salford's season was handed a stark reminder of life in the Super League, as they were crushed 38-0 by St Helens at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Salford's solitary victory over the Vikings in their last five meetings was a 28-22 triumph at the Magic Weekend in Manchester last season.

Changes

Betts has made just two changes to the squad which overcome the Giants last weekend.

Captain Jon Clarke comes in to replace loose forward Hep Cahill, while vice-captain Kevin Brown also returns in place of stand-off Danny Craven.

Meanwhile, there are three rotations from Red Devils coach Brian Noble as they look to return to winning ways.

Second row forward Gareth Hock sustained an ankle injury during last week's bruising defeat to St Helens and looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Props Adam Walne and Lama Tasi return to the travelling party, while loose forward Steve Rapira also returns to Noble's 19-man squad.

Vikings: Allen, K. Brown, Clarke, Clough, Dean, Flynn, Galea, Gerrard, Hanbury, Isa, Johnson, Joseph, Leuluai, Lloyd, Marsh, Mellor, Owens, Tickle, White.

Red Devils: Ashurst, Dixon, Fages, Sa'u, Hansen, A. Walne, Gleeson, Howarth, Johnson, Lee, Puletua, Morley, Mullaney, McPherson, Rapira, Smith, Tasi, Williams, Walton.

You can follow all the action from the Select Security Stadium as Widnes Vikings take on the Salford Red Devils live on Sky Sports 1HD from 7:30pm on Thursday
