Morgan: Points matter
Hull KR coach Justin Morgan brushed off Steve Ganson's controversial late decision that led to his side's match-winning try in the derby game with Hull FC in Cardiff.
Ganson awarded possession to KR after Tommy Lee was adjudged to have knocked on, and Jake Webster took full advantage to give his side a 22-17 victory over their great rivals.
But Morgan was philosophical about the decision, instead choosing to praise his team on a job well done.
"It is what the referee says. We have been on the end of good and bad calls all season," he said.
"Everyone is on the end of bad calls. It's what's gone in the little box at the end of the day and it's us that got two points. That's all that matters.
"To our players' credit they showed a huge amount of courage and determination," he said.
"We had plenty of ball when we were looking for a few better decisions with ball in hand but we kept our composure for the entire 80 minutes."
Hull coach Peter Sharp predictably felt his side had been hard done by Ganson's decision.
"It was massive," he said. "There is a lot of money and a lot of things at stake for a lot of clubs and we come up with decisions like that. We have got to do better than that."
