Potter demands improvement
Bulls coach unhappy despite victory at Huddersfield
The support is magnificent. The players are feeding off it and I'm enjoying it as well. Not many teams have an away crowd like that.
Quotes of the week
Mick Potter has demanded more from his players despite Bradford's 34-12 victory over Huddersfield on Sunday.
The win keeps the Bulls in with a chance of securing the final place in the Super League play-offs, but coach Potter was not particularly impressed with the performance.
"I think there's more to come," he said. "I was happy with the result and some of the individual things we did but not the overall performance. There are areas where we can improve.
"I'm happy it's a bit more in our own hands, but we've two games left and they won't be easy."
Potter also paid tribute to the Bradford fans, about 2,500 of whom travelled down the M606 and backed their team from the start.
He said: "The support is magnificent. The players are feeding off it and I'm enjoying it as well. Not many teams have an away crowd like that."
Potter has no idea if Bradford's situation will be resolved soon and said: "I can't give an answer to that as I don't know. That's for other people to answer."
Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson slammed the attitude of his players after watching them slump to a bad defeat.
"In patches it looked like we'd just been thrown together. But the main thing I'm peeved about is our attitude to the game.
"We've had in the last few week a couple of low-intensity performances and we carried that through today against a very determined team.
"It was disgraceful. Our attitude to the game was very poor. I could count the number of sets we completed on my fingers and toes.
"I'm not even thinking about the play-offs at the moment. We've got two games left and we've got to do better. The key to everything is attitude."
