Warrington Wolves prop Gareth Carvell expects his side to draw on their 2012 Old Trafford experience when they face Wigan Warriors in Saturday's Super League Grand Final.

The Wolves were beaten 26-18 by Leeds Rhinos in last year's finale and will look to go one better this weekend when they showdown with the Warriors.

Wigan are set to grace the Old Trafford turf for the first time since 2010 after beating the Rhinos 22-12 in the semi-final final; while it is back-to-back final appearances for the Wolves, who beat League Leaders' Shield winners Huddersfield Giants 30-22 in the last four.

After suffering heartache last term Carvell has called for his colleagues to remember the lessons learnt during their final debut 12 months ago.

"It's the Grand Final and a lot of the players probably want keep themselves fit and draw on that experience they have from last year," he told Sky Sports News.

"It is certainly something everyone is looking forward to and we're maybe not as overawed as people thought we were last year when we ran out onto the pitch.

Atmosphere

"The atmosphere is fantastic, it is not like anything else and it's something I think everyone will deal with and look forward to."

In the opposing camp, Warriors winger Pat Richards - who will make his final appearance for the club before re-joining NRL side West Tigers - is relishing the opportunity to bow out on a high.

"I've had a great eight years now at the club and to go out on a Grand Final against a very good Warrington team in front of a full house is going to be very special," he explained on Sky Sports News.

"I'm looking forward to it, these games always toss up good matches and the forwards are tense, they will rip into each other.

"They have some class players with the likes of Briers who can put some points on the board for them.

"We have a few players who can put some points on as well, you've seen with [Sam] Tomkins from the backs and it's all shaping up to be a great game."
