Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock praised his players for keeping Bradford scoreless as the Robins won 16-0.

"It was pleasing to win," he said. "But more importantly we performed for the full 80 minutes. I don't think we've kept a side scoreless for a couple of years.

"The boys can be proud of themselves for that."

The winning margin could and should have been more had it not been for some brilliant goal line defence by Bradford, who remain on minus two points.

Sandercock admitted the conditions did not help his side, but was pleased with the chances they created.

"We got held up four or five times," Sandercock said. "You can usually count on one or two of those being scored. Conditions weren't great and some of outer executions still wasn't where we want it to be.

"But overall we dominated that game and it was good to get the win."

While Sandercock was disappointed not to score more tries, Bradford coach Francis Cummins was happy with the response from his players to last week's 66-18 defeat to Huddersfield.

"I'm really pleased because the players worked hard," Cummins said. "They showed great character after last week and we worked hard for each other with the amount of field position Rovers had.

"We came up with some great try saving tackles and that's something we can build on.

"We showed great desire and work ethic but we came up with too many errors."
