London Broncos coach Joe Grima admitted his side are not even close to recording their first Super League win of the season following a 42-24 defeat at home by Widnes Vikings.
Patrick Ah Van, Hep Cahill and Danny Galea touched down in the first-half before Rhys Hanbury and Paddy Flynn each scored twice for the visitors.
Denny Solomona, James Greenwood, Atelea Vea and Matt Cook all answered for the hosts but the comeback was too late, ensuring the Broncos are still winless after 18 league outings - and Grima is fed up of starting games slowly.
"We do tend to come back, but it's not a question of fighting back too late," he admitted. "It's a question of playing for 80 minutes, and again we were unable to do that.
"Combined with 12 or 13 errors, we're a long way off our first win after today's performance.
"It's disappointing as it wasn't through brilliance on their part, just basic skill on ours, fundamental under-six level stuff, which is very frustrating as a coach."
Meanwhile, playoff-chasing Vikings boss Denis Betts was full of praise for Grima despite the Broncos' poor form.
"You have to give credit to the Broncos today,” said Betts. “They kept coming at us throughout the game and made us work for our points.
"They have a good coach there. I spoke to him before the game and he's getting things in place for a really solid base to build from.
"You can sense that from them, but when you're losing it's really hard to break that cycle. After 18 games without a win it's not a nice place to be.
"I'm happy to be where I am for the play-offs. It's hard not to keep one eye on the table, We just have to focus on our own performances."
