Australia brushed past Fiji with a comfortable 64-0 win at Wembley to set up a final showdown against World Cup holders New Zealand next Saturday.

The Kangaroos have barely been troubled throughout a pursuit of a trophy they consider their own and this game proved to be no different as they ran in 11 tries.

Jarryd Hayne scored a hat-trick, while Darius Boyd (2), Cooper Cronk, James Tamou, Josh Papalii, Brett Morris and Andrew Fifita all went over the whitewash.

Yet another one-sided victory ensured that the final at Old Trafford will be a repeat of the 2008 edition, when the Kiwis toppled their Antipodean neighbours in the showpiece.

More impressively, the 'Roos have not conceded a try in the four games since their opening-day win over England.

The Kiwis secured a thrilling last-second win over England immediately before this game and as Australia headed out to warm-up they had to step over the host players who were laid strewn on the Wembley turf.

It was a surreal sight at the national stadium but as is always the case with the green and golds, nothing fazes them and Fiji were duly sent packing.

These two sides met at the same stage five years ago and Australia were 52-0 winners and, with Tim Sheens' side also coming out on top when they met in the group stage three weeks ago, there were few thoughts of an upset.

Australian blitz

If there were they were put to bed early on as Australia set their stall out, with a show-and-go from Jonathan Thurston and the half-back's subsequent goal putting them 6-0 up.

Boyd soon dotted down in the corner after smart work from Greg Inglis and, although the goal was missed, a third try soon arrived from Cronk as he was played in by Hayne - the versatile back who played for Fiji in the last World Cup.

The Parramatta man rubbed salt in the wounds by scoring himself in the 22nd minute, finding a way in after a left-to-right move, before Papalii scored from close range three minutes after climbing off the bench.

It had been a chastening first half for The Bati but it was not over as Hayne snaffled a second on the hooter, with Tamou ensuring the points continued as he got over with 15 minutes of the second period gone.

It was a case of how many Australia wanted to score at this point and the answer was more as Boyd got his second in the left corner and Hayne completed another hat-trick after running in four tries against the United States a week ago.

Fiji were spent and it showed as Morris ran in a four-pointer before Fifita wrapped the scoring up.
