Wainwright: Crossed for one of the Tigers' 13 tries
Castleford belied their lowly position in the engage Super League table by thrashing a patched-up Harlequins side 66-12 at the Twickenham Stoop.
The bottom club ran in 13 ties, with Richard Owen, Michael Shenton and Luke Dorn each scoring three.
They took the lead in the 10th minute when winger Michael Wainwright broke down the touchline, and despite his offload going to ground, Stuart Donlan gathered to race over.
But the home side struck back shortly after, with Chris Melling touching down after Henry Paul's pass took out three tacklers.
The Tigers took control though by scoring three tries in 10 minutes thanks to some woeful home tackling.
Owen firstly shrugged off Melling to cross with ease and then Shenton glided over after Scott Moore was held up just short.
Finally, a neat inside pass from Brent Sherwin allowed Dorn to breeze over unopposed for his first of the afternoon.
The home side briefly threatened a revival when another excellent Paul pass enabled Jon Grayshon to canter over.
However, Shenton crossed again for the Tigers, who then continued their dominance after the break by running in a further eight tries to secure their biggest league victory of the season.
Ned Catic grabbed the first when he produced a burst of speed to get through a gap before dummying his way past last man Melling.
Dorn's second saw him outpace the home defence before Owen, Ryan McGoldrick and Shenton all got their name on the scoresheet to help take the Tigers to their half century.
Owen completed his hat-trick with a fine run down the touchline and Dorn followed suit to round out the scoring after Wainwright had forced his way over.
Kirk Dixon kicked the last of his seven conversions to round out a terrific display from Castleford, who are two points adrift of nearest rivals Huddersfield in the battle to avoid the wooden spoon.
