Myler: Influential performance
Scrum-half Richie Myler scored a try and set up another as Salford City Reds beat Huddersfield to win for only the fourth time in Super League this season.
John Wilshere contributed 12 points as the visitors took advantage of an error-strewn performance by the Giants at The Galpharm Stadium.
Giants stand-off Kevin Brown tried to find touch with a penalty in the sixth minute, but ended up kicking the ball straight to the opposition.
Salford took advantage with a flowing move which ended with Myler playing in Wilshere down the left channel for a converted try.
The Giants, who were looking for a ninth win in 11 league and cup matches, tried to get back in the game but the Salford defence held up Jamahl Lolesi, Shaun Lunt and Danny Kirmond on the line.
Huddersfield did manage a response when Martin Aspinwall palmed down a high kick for Luke Robinson to go over on 17 minutes, only for Leroy Cudjoe to miss the conversion.
Robinson then instigated a fine move, in which Brown and Paul Whatuira exchanged passes to breach the Salford defence, but the visitors recovered to stop Whatuira short.
Salford, who have endured a torrid season since beating Celtic Crusaders on the campaign's opening day, made the hosts pay in the 25th minute.
Luke Adamson's acrobatic pass was pounced on by Jordan Turner, and his offload to Darrell Goulding resulted in another converted try.
Huddersfield nearly reduced the deficit on the stroke of half-time when Aspinwall went over in the corner but Lolesi was adjudged to have made a forward pass in the build-up.
Wilshere, who kicked four goals as well as scoring the first try, added a penalty on 50 minutes, and also converted when Salford put the game beyond doubt with a breakaway try shortly afterwards.
Huddersfield had been camped near the Reds' try-line when a misplaced pass was intercepted by Myler, and he ran almost the full length of the field to score a fine solo effort.
Seven minutes from time, Mark Henry completed the scoring when he gathered Stefan Ratchford's via the palm of Willie Talau and went over by the left touchline.
