London Broncos finally ended their four-month losing streak in Super League with a 20-10 victory over Bradford in a scrappy encounter.

London's last win was on on April 27, while it was their first win at Odsal since 2009 and avenged a 46-20 defeat by the Bulls in London earlier in the season.

The Londoners edged the first half by virtue of a sole unconverted David Howell try, then gained control with further quick-fire scores from Howell and Jamie Soward either side of the hour mark.

Debutant Mason Caton-Brown added a fourth try 12 minutes from time to seal the struggling Londoners success. Bradford replied with tries through Keith Lulia and Danny Addy.

Bradford resisted some early pressure and almost took the lead when Elliot Kear crossed in the corner but was adjudged to have put a foot in touch.

Broncos should then have gone ahead but centre Howell dropped Soward's pass with the line beckoning.

In what became a saga of repeated handling errors from both sides, the deadlock was finally broken when James Woodburn-Hall put Howell through a gap four minutes before half time. The Australian scrum-half failed to master a cold and blustery wind and missed the conversion.

Caton-Brown, making his debut for the Broncos, was then hauled down just metres short as the hooter sounded to leave the visitors four points up at the break.

Muscled over

Seven minutes into the second half another handling error, a Broncos knock-on, gave Bradford the platform to respond as Lulia muscled his way over near the corner flag with Jamie Foster expertly adding the goal from the touchline to edge the Bulls ahead.

The Broncos regained the lead when Howell rose to claim and ground perfectly weighted Soward kick.

This time Soward had no trouble adding the extras and barely two minutes later he was sprinting away from the halfway line, having intercepted a stray looping pass from Luke Gale.

The Broncos virtually sealed the long-awaited victory when Caton-Brown, who has played most of the season on dual registration with Championship One Hemel Stags, crossed in the corner from a Kieron Dixon pass.

Although Addy claimed a try back for the Bulls, it wasn't enough to change the result and Soward was sin-binned for needlessly kicking the ball off of the tee as Foster lined up the conversion attempt.
