Catalan Dragons moved back into third place in the Sobart Super League table after overcoming a spirited London 19-12 in Perpignan.

The Broncos caused Catalan a lot of problems on both wings and went ahead twice in the first half, before being pegged back twice through good work by Ben Fisher.

The half started in superb style for the Broncos, Craig Gower's kick off hit the woodwork and the Catalans were slow to respond as Chris Bailey collecting the ball first.

With the Londoners in prime field position, they made the Catalans pay for their early error and a flat pass from Chad Randall found Tony Clubb who scored after going through a big gap in the Catalan defence. Gower goaled to make the score 6-0.

The scores were level after Paea and Ferriol brought their side forward and a set move saw Dureau find his inside man Jason Baitieri who powered over to score. Dureau added the conversion to level the scores.

London retook the lead on 15 minutes after a neat pass from Gower put Scott Wheeldon through another big hole in the Catalan defence. Gower again converted to give the Stobart Super League's bottom club a six-point-lead.

Obstruction

Catalans thought they had scored on 19 minutes but the Remy Casty try was ruled out for an earlier obstruction on the London defenders.

Catalans again levelled on the half hour, Ben Fisher scooting over from the acting half position to score next to the posts. Dureau again converted to take the score to 12-12 at half time.

In an even tighter second half, it was only Daryl Millard who troubled the scorers with his superb solo effort that saw him step and jink and beat five players to score on the nod of the video referee. Dureau added the conversion to make the lead a full converted score.

He then sealed the win with a Drop Goal from a tight angle to take the scores out to 19-12.
