World Cup experience: 2003. He has refereed three World Cup matches.

He is a full-time referee. Walsh made history when he refereed the first rugby international at Croke Park, between Ireland and France. His playing career ended at age 13, due to a spinal injury resulting from a birth deformity. This will be his second World Cup.
