'Recklessly executed': Bai goes high on Rossouw

Fiji fly-half Seremaia Bai has been suspended for one week after pleading guilty to a dangerous tackle on South Africa number eight Danie Rossouw.

Bai accepted he left Rossouw "temporarily dazed" after making contact with his head in Fiji's 37-20 quarter-final defeat on Sunday.

The judicial officer ruled Bai's challenge had been "recklessly executed" but decided his previous unblemished record meant a one-week ban was suitable.

Given Fiji are out of the World Cup, Bai has been suspended from Clermont Auvergne's first French championship match of the season, against Stade Francais, on October 27.

Bai has 48 hours in which to appeal the decision.
