Berbizier forced to change his squad

Italy have been forced to make a change to their World Cup squad, after discovering that flanker Robert Barbieri will not be fit to take part at any stage of the World Cup.

Barbieri, who suffered an injury to his left thigh in Italy's warm-up game against Ireland, has failed to recover to take any part in the World Cup.

His place will instead go to Silvio Orlando, the Benetton Treviso flanker, who is also Barbieri's club team-mate. Orlando has already joined up with the team in Saint-Remy-de-Provence.
