`Chiropractor` returns

Back for more: Brian Lima

Back for more: Brian Lima

Veteran midfielder Brian Lima will return to the Samoan starting XV for their crunch World Cup Pool A match against England in Nantes on Saturday.

Lima, the only man to have played in five World Cups, came off second best in a tackle on South African fly-half André Pretorius during Samoa's 7-59 loss almost a fortnight ago.

The man known as the 'Chiropractor' for his big hits, then missed the 15-19 defeat against Tonga last Sunday, but has now been brought back for a game Samoa must win to keep their quarter-final hopes alive.

Lima, 35, will partner London Irish centre Seilala Mapusua in the midfield - with the latter moving from outside centre to number twelve.

The Samoan backline is made up almost entirely of English Premiership players, the exception being scrum-half Junior Polu.

Goal-kicker Gavin Williams, who has scored all Samoa's points in the tournament so far, misses out after failing to recover from a finger injury.

Loki Crichton moves from fly-half to full-back, David Lemi replaces Sailosi Tagicakibau on the right wing, Lima and Mapusua are in the midfield, Alesana Tuilagi retains his place on the left wing, Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu fill the fly-half spot vacated by Crichton's move to full-back and Polu replaces Steven So'oialo at scrum-half.

Henry Tuilagi is back at number eight, Semo Sititi will captain the side from the openside flank position and Ulia Ulia drops out of the squad.

Daniel Leo (number six), locks Kane Thompson and Joe Tekori, tighthead prop Census Johnston and hooker Mahonri Schwalger also retain their places.

Kas Lealamanua comes in at loosehead prop for Justin Va'a.

Samoa: 15 Loki Crichton, 14 David Lemi, 13 Seilala Mapusua, 12 Brian Lima, 11 Alesana Tuilagi, 10 Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu, 9 Junior Polu, 8 Henry Tuilagi, 7 Semo Sititi (c), 6 Daniel Leo, 5 Kane Thompson, 4 Joe Tekori, 3 Census Johnston, 2 Mahonri Schwalger, 1 Kas Lealamanua.
