David Wallace
Date of birth: 08/08/1976
Position: Flanker
Test Caps: 37
Test Debut: 3rd June 2000 v Argentina
Test Points: 35
Current Club: Munster
Strengths: Arguably the best openside flanker outside of the southern
hemisphere, Wally possesses truly electric pace and an ability to snaffle
anything around the fringes or floor.
Weaknesses: Another sick note, it's hard to believe he's been on the
international scene for seven seasons now. His amazing pace can also lead him into isolation where he has been known to turn over as his team-mates struggle to support him. Does he lacks the linking skills to be called a truly great 7?
Likely headline(s): You great big Wally.
Did you know?: The third Wallace brother to play for Ireland and the
Lions, but for injury Wallace might have had 60 caps by now. He has played
in all three back-row positions for Munster and amazingly, also on the wing!
