Ruatangi Vatuvei
Date of birth: 8/12/77
Position: Lock/loose forward
Test caps: 20
Test Debut: Korea, 2001
Test Points: 20
Current Club: Kintetsu Liners
Strengths: Standing at 6ft 3ins and almost 19 stone, the Tongan-born forward is a hugely powerful player who is equally at home in the second row or at number eight. He has a good turn of pace which has seen him used as a centre on occasions.
Weaknesses: Despite his hulking size he lacks in basic skills on occasion, maybe the reason he is preferred in the second row rather than the back row.
Likely headline: 'Tongan monster haunts Australia'
Did you know: He was the top try-scorer in Japanesse rugby in 2005 with a total of 18 tries to his name, not bad for a second row.
