Heino Senekal
Date of birth: 20/10/75
Position: Lock
Test caps: 18
Test Debut: Canada, 1999
Test Points: 15
Current Club: Cornish Pirates - previously Boland, Eastern Province, Cardiff
Strengths: One of the few Namibian players to have played club rugby at the highest level, Senekal is an excellent line-out jumper who can rival the very best. The towering lock learnt his trade in South Africa, where he played for Northern Transvaal (now the Blue Bulls) Under-21s in 1995. This will be his third World Cup and his vast experience of quality rugby will be crucial for the Biltongboere.
Weaknesses: Senekal is growing rather long in the tooth, and will turn 32 before the World Cup is up. He's certainly a class act by Namibian standards, but it would not be unfair to say that he is slightly over the hill.
Likely headline: Cynical Senekal sent to the bin
Did you know: His father played 101 matches for Namibia.
