Neemia Tialata
Date of birth: 15/07/1982
Position: Prop
Test caps: 17
Test Debut: Wales, 2005
Test Points: 5
Current Club: Wellington
Strengths: Possesses a rare ability to play well on either side of the scrum, making him a useful member of the World Cup squad, although he prefers playing tighthead. At nearly 130kg, Tialata is an imposing figure who can generally crash over the advanatage line, while his first international try was a winger's special chasing down a cross-field kick for a touchdown in the corner.
Weaknesses: Despite that try, it follows that any man of his size will not be the quickest on the pitch. While his bulk is useful for the crash ball and in the scrums, Tialata remains somewhat one-dimensional due to his lack of mobility.
Likely headline(s): Henry calls for a spot of Tialata
Did you know? In his downtime from rugby he is a keen guitar player and an artist with a flair for painting. He has also designed tattoos for himself and some of his teammates, and has a large tattoo on his arm and back depicting his own background, family and life.
