Full-time: Scotland finally record a win in the Six Nations with a 15-9 victory - and they deserve it. There are not the words to describe how abject England were...
79mins: Ridiculous. 30 seconds left and England kick the ball away.
77mins: This simple has been abject from England. Credit to Scotland's defence, which has been immense, but England have quite simply been appalling.
76mins: In what is rugby's version of playing to the corners, Scotland are attempting see the game out by keeping the ball in the pack.
74mins: Scotland are scrapping for everything here - you would have thought that they were trailing. England lack direction and ideas
72mins: New fly-half... same pointless kicking. Oh dear.
70mins: Wilkinson is off... and out come Hodgson. Vickery is also off. A gamble for England but one that is needed as the big players have been a big let down.
67mins: England finally have a spell of pressure, but they lack ideas. The same problems from the Wales and Italy game are here, but no one knows how to sort them out.
65mins: The scrum is the only area England have had much joy and another collapse gives them good attacking position.
63mins: Jason White returns to the fray - not what England wanted to see.
61mins: Play is getting bogged down in the Murrayfield mud. Not a good advert for either side.
59mins: There just doesn't seem any leadership about England's play, with Scotland's defence not really tested.
57mins: Wilkinson's kicking out of hand has been poor today and it is gifting Scotland possession.
55mins: Scotland attempt to show some adventure. However Vainikolo and then Lipman put in big tackles.
52mins: England are starting to chip away at the deficit now, with Wilkinson adding another penalty after Scotland are caught killing the ball.
49mins: Some joy at last for England as Wilkinson kicks a penalty after Scotland are caught offside.
48mins: Another penalty conceded by England and this time Dan Parks slots the kick over.
45mins: Just as they did against Wales and Italy, England are guilty of wasting possession - with a series of pointless kicks.
43mins: England have just not come out for the second half - with Scotland looking bright.
41mins: Terrible start for England. Wilkinson is penalised for holding on in the tackle and Paterson slots over his 30th successive kick.
Half-time: Scotland enter the break in the lead, but it really has been a poor half. England need to do a lot in the second half if they are to win.
40mins: Hands in the ruck gift Scotland another three points - Paterson simply doesn't miss these.
38mins: At last some attacking running rugby, with England using both wingers and Sackey breaking away - only for Hogg to kill the ball. However, Wilkinson's kick is short.
36mins: A tedious spell of kicking finally comes to something for Scotland as the ball is dropped by Toby Flood, but England recover,
34mins: This match is one that will be easily forgotten. It is scrappy on both sides.
32mins: Wilkinson is caught off the ball, however Kaplan decides the England No.10 dived.
30mins: Stupidity from Andrew Sheridan, who concedes a needless penalty. Paterson takes advantage.
28mins: Scotland are taking the game to England as they attempt to hammer through the middle.
26mins: A series of failed scrums finally sees England awarded a penalty - and Wilkinson breaks the world points scoring record with a simple kick.
25mins: Anther injury for Scotland with Ross Ford limping off.
24mins: Despite some fantastic defence, Scotland are still struggling to clear their lines - with the lineout misfiring.
22mins: Poor Lamont is carried off after lengthy treatment. And back to the action, England turn the screw with a series of forward drives, but Scotland hold firm.
21mins: Massive kick from Balshaw and the Gloucester full-back almost wins the chase, the ball bobbles lose as he and Rory Lamont collide and Tom Croft picks up. However the England attack is thwarted by a tackle off the ball. Both Balshaw and Lamont are feeling the effects - the Scotland winger was knocked out cold, while the Englishman limps away.
20mins: Third touch for Vainikolo... third knock-on. I am spotting a pattern here.
18mins: Second touch for Vainikolo... second knock-on. Not the best of starts for the Gloucester man.
16mins: First use of the Volcano, however the Scotland defence are quickly onto him.
14mins: Kaplan realises his other arm works and awards England a penalty.
13mins: A very scrappy start from both sides. The conditions are not helping, though.
11mins: England are losing out here on all fronts - discipline, defence, attack and kicking.
10mins: Referee Jonathan Kaplan is being kept busy with another penalty against England.
9mins: Vickery is given a lecture after a third successive penalty is conceded at a lineout. Paterson slots over his 27th successive kick.
7mins: Andrew Sheridan is pinged for coming in at the side and then Steve Borthwick pulls down the jumper in the lineout. Paterson gives Scotland a decent attacking platform with his kick to the corner.
5mins: You have got to feel sorry for the England kit man. No amount of Daz will get this mud out of a white kit...
3min: Already the signs are that this will be a war of attrition. The rain is hammering down and the forwards look as happy as pigs in muck.
2min: Hurrah... Balshaw catches his first kick.
Plane stupid: The kick-off is delayed for a fly past of two jet planes... oh dear.
Boggy: Heavy rain has left Murrayfield in less than ideal conditions for free-flowing running rugby - so it is a good thing neither of these sides have played free-flowing running rugby this season.
