80 CONVERSION, LIONS, JANTJIES! 27-17. Jantjies adds the extras and from the restart the ball goes through several phases before the Lions pivot also knocks on. The hooter goes and that signals the end of the match. Although it was a scrappy affair the hosts deserve the result.
79 TRY, LIONS, VAN DER MERWE! 27-15. Franco van der Merwe picks up the ball at a ruck close to the Stormers' try-line and burrows his way over!

From the resulting scrum Dewaldt Duvenhage knocks on when he tries to dispossess Tian Meyer but the hooter has gone and the players head into the dressing rooms. It's been a scrappy affair although the hosts have tried to attack more towards the end. Hopefully we'll see more action after the break.
37 Andries Bekker offloads the ball to Juan de Jongh and the centre goes over the Lions' try-line. However, his effort count for nothing as the referee rules that the pass was forward.
36 Aplon fields a clearance kick from Jantjies and sets off on a run. When his progress is halted by Anthony Volmink he throws a pass to Van den Heever but the ball goes into touch.
34 The Stormers try to drive from a line-out close to the Lions' 22 but Derick Minnie does well when he holds Deon Fourie up and the visitors will get the put-in at the resulting scrum.

30 TRY, STORMERS, APLON! 11-3. Aplon gets an easy run-in after the Stormers go on the attack with a run from Danie Poolman from deep inside his own half. After setting up a couple of phases the ball comes to Grant who puts Aplon into a gap close to the visitors' try-line.

24 PENALTY, LIONS, JANTJIES! 3-3. Elton Jantjies punishes Bekker's indiscretion and draws his side level on the scoreboard.
23 Lionel Mapoe is penalised for not releasing a tackled player but referee Mark Lawrence is forced to reverse the penalty when Bekker shoulder charges Mapoe after the whistle has gone.
19 Elton Jantjies takes a shot at goal after Frans Malherbe is penalised for a scrum infringement but his effort is just wide of the uprights.
17 Josh Strauss clatters into Deon Carstens but the Lions skipper loses the ball forward in contact. Scrum to the Stormers.

11 The Lions are forced to make an early change. Andries Coetzee limps off with what appears to be a foot injury and is replaced by Ruan Combrinck.
8 The Stormers go on the attack with their forwards but they are soon penalised when Bekker goes off his feet at a ruck.
6 Deon van Rensburg goes on a run down the touchline but is bundled into touch by a text-book tackle from De Jongh.
4 PENALTY, STORMERS, GRANT! 3-0. Peter Grant gets the first points of this encounter after Tian Meyer is pinned for being offside.
2 Andries Bekker does well to free his hands and get a pass away to Gio Aplon inside the Lions' 22. Aplon passes to Gerhard van den Heever who has a foot in touch.

Team News Lions caretaker coaches Johan Ackermann and Carlos Spencer have made two changes to the side that beat the Sharks in their last match three weeks ago. Both are in the front-row, with props Jacobie Adriaanse and JC Janse van Rensburg coming into the starting line-up to replace Pat Cilliers and CJ Van der Linde.
Team News Stormers coach Allister Coetzee has made several changes to his starting line-up for this clash. The home side starts with two rookie flankers in Don Armand and Tyrone Holmes while one of the heroes from their previous match against the Bulls, Siya Kolisi, moves from the flank to number eight. Other changes up front sees Andries Bekker replacing Eben Etzebeth, who is rested after Springbok duty and Deon Fourie replaces Tiaan Liebenberg at hooker. Amongst the backs, Joe Pietersen comes in for Bryan Habana, who is on bench duty. This sees Gio Aplon moving to the wing and Pietersen starting at full-back.
