Crusaders v Hurricanes - Live
Full time CRUSADERS 22-23 HURRICANES
81 Bleyendaal's kick is..........just short!! The Hurricanes win!!! What a game! Man, what a finish. The Hurricanes are still in the hunt for the play-offs. Thanks for joining us, cheers!
80 A huge scrum from the Crusaders...penalty!!! What will the Crusaders do? It's on the half-way line. Tyler Bleyendaal reckons he can kick it!!!! Hold onto your seats......
79 The Crusaders try maul it up but are going nowhere. It goes down. Scrum feed to the Canes on halfway.
77 Tom Taylor MISSES!!! A tough kick from the touchline. Is that enough for a Hurricanes win?
76 Drama! A wonky Hurricanes line-out allows Wyatt Crockett to break clear. The Hurricanes are offside at the ruck. Penalty!
74 PENALTY, HURRICANES, BARRETT. 22-23. The Canes take the lead!!!!!!! Six minutes left. My nerves are shot!
73 Here come the Canes again. Hayward breaks but is isolated so has to take contact on the Crusaders 22. The cavalry arrives. The Crusaders are offside. Penalty!
71 Julian Savea steps Robbie Fruean and then bolts 30m to put the Hurricanes on the attack. Oh! Frae Wilson has the ball knocked out his hands by a Crusaders boot. Tusi Pisi comes on for Andre Taylor. Pisi goes to 10.
69 Classic Richie McCaw! The Crusaders skipper pinches one off the Canes on his own 22. Guildford kicks upfield to send the Hurricanes back to their own half.
67 Jayden Hayward comes on for Tim Bateman at inside centre for the Canes. Barrett thumps along touch finder to set up a line-out deep in Crusaders territory.
65 PENALTY, HURRICANES, BARRETT. 22-20. McCaw doesn't roll away and Barrett has an easy three points. We're in for a thrilling finish here.
63 Lots of poor decisions being made under pressure by both sides. Guilford tries to run his way out of his 22 and ends up running into one of his team-mates. The Canes arrive in numbers and win a scrum on the Crusaders 22.
61 Guilford tries to chip over Shields but it bounces of the number eight's chest and into touch. It's getting a bit scrappy out there.
58 The Hurricanes really aren't doing themselves any favours here. Another scrum infringement means Taylor can set up a line-out on the Canes 10m line.
56 Oh man! Beauden Barrett butchers a try scoring opportunity! He makes a brilliant break but finds himself without support and facing three defenders. He could have made it to the corner if he backed himself but he panicked and ended up running straight into them!
54 PENALTY, CRUSADERS, TAYLOR. 22-17. The Hurricanes set piece is struggling. Jeffery Toomaga-Allen comes on for Reg Goodes.
52 Whoops! McCaw knocks on as he tries to break around the edge of a ruck. Another scrum, this time to the Hurricanes on their 22. Penalty!!! Taylor will have a crack at goal.
50 Robbie Fruean charges for the tryline but is stopped just short. Adam Whitelock juggles a pass and is caught in possession. The Hurricanes turn it over but give the free kick away at the next ruck. They should have cleared! Scrum Crusaders on the Canes 22.
47 The Hurricanes have made a very sloppy start to this second half. Error after error. Ben May gets a poor pass and is wrapped up by a gaggle of defenders and is forced to hold on. Scrum to the Crusaders on the Canes 22.
45 Taylor's long-range effort drifts just wide. That's a let off for the Canes.
44 Holy moly!!! The Crusaders shove the Canes off the ball at scrum time. Penalty! Tom Taylor will have another crack at goal.
42 PENALTY, CRUSADERS, TAYLOR. 19-17. The hosts are back in front! Silly mistake from the Canes.
Second half Here we go! This game is a must win for both teams so we're in for a cracker. Tom Taylor kicks off. Andre Taylor replies but the Canes are ahead of the kicker as they give chase - penalty!
Half Time CRUSADERS 16 -17 HURRICANES
40 CONVERSION, BARRETT. 16-17. The Hurricanes move back in front on the stroke of half time thanks to a super touchline conversion from Barrett. That's half-time! We'll be back in ten...
39 TRY, HURRICANES, SMITH. 16-15. Conrad Smith bags his second try, rounding off a great team effort by beating three defenders to score in the corner. That's a season record for tries!
38 CONVERSION, TAYLOR. 16-10.
37 TRY, CRUSADERS, GUILFORD. 14-10. What a try! The Hurricanes steal the line-out and Eaton kicks. But the Crusaders counter from their own half, Guilford steps his way through the defence, and sprints over 60m, beating Andre Taylor on his way, to score under the sticks!
35 A bit of kick tennis and the Crusaders are now forced to try run their way out of their 22. Penalty to the Crusaders for the visitors going off their feet. Taylor sets up the line-out just outside the Canes 22.
33 The Crusaders scrum is very solid but the Canes defence is up quickly. Taylor has no option but to kick and the Canes can counter.
31 Oh My! Dane Coles has is blown up for not throwing straight at the line-out for the third time! The Crusaders have a scrum 30m from their own line.
29 PENALTY, CRUSADERS, TAYLOR. 9-10. The Hurricanes rush offside. Taylor adds an easy three points.
26 Oh, trouble for the Hurricanes here. Guilford hacks it ahead, the Whitelock brothers give chase. Andre Taylor is back to clean up under the sticks but the Crusaders arrive in numbers. The ref blows for the 5m scrum! That's harsh, it looked like the ball was coming out for the Crusaders!
24 OOOH! Taylor hits a penalty sweetly but it bounces off the crossbar! The Canes clean up and Barrett puts ball to boot.
21 Solid driving from the Crusaders as they rumble their way into the Hurricanes 22. Romano spills it though and Conrad Smith punts it 45m upfield to find touch past halfway!
19 CONVERSION, BARRETT. 6-10. The Canes have the lead!
18 TRY, HURRICANES, SMITH. 6-8. Andre Taylor chips over the top and collects his own kick. He offloads to Conrad Smith who profits from Savea blocking two defenders to score!
16 Problems for the Canes at line-out time. For the second time Dane Coles is blown up for not throwing in straight.
15 PENALTY, HURRICANES, BARRETT. 6-3. The visitors are on the board! A couple of Crusaders off their feet and the young pivot has an easy three points.
13 The Crusaders are offside at the ruck. Barrett finds touch deep in the Crusaders 22. This is the Canes first real chance to attack.
11 PENALTY, CRUSADERS, TAYLOR. 6-0. Jack Lam is a mile offside and Taylor finds the mark from 35m out, a bit to the left this time.
8 PENALTY, CRUSADERS, TAYLOR. 3-0. First blood to the hosts. Taylor splits the uprights from about 30m out, to the right.
6 It's all Crusaders in the opening stages. The Hurricanes have hardly touched the ball. The hosts build up to the Hurricanes 22. Penalty! Conrad Smith not rolling away.
4 Here come the Crusaders again. Picking and riving into the 'Canes 22. The red jerseys pour forward. Penalty against Corey Flynn. Barrett can clear.
2 Oooh! Tom Taylor makes and great break down the left touchline. Crotty is up in support, a try is on here....no!!!! Crotty throws the final pass forward with the try-line begging!
Kick-off Here we go! Beauden Barrett kicks us off. The Crusaders take it in...and start a bit of kick tennis
100 caps Wyatt Crockett leads out the Crusaders as he wins his 100th cap. Let's get ready to rumble!
Team news Vito is replaced by Brad Shields and Alapati Leiua remains on the right wing as Jane continues to recover. Chris Eaton takes Perenara's spot, and in other changes Reg Goodes starts at loosehead prop with Ben May moving to tighthead.
Team news Richie McCaw starts at number eight in Read's absence, and Matt Todd comes in on the flank. Tom Taylor fills the void Carter leaves at fly-half and Sean Maitland comes in at full-back.
Preview The 'Canes have a bye and a clash with the Chiefs to follow so a loss here would mean curtains for the competition surprise-packets. They are helped by the fact the Crusaders will be without All Blacks trio Dan Carter, Kieran Read and Israel Dagg. But the visitors have been dealt a heavy injury blow themselves with TJ Perenara out for the rest of the season, Victor Vito out and Cory Jane still unavailable.
Welcome! Hello and welcome to Christchurch for this crunch Round 16 derby hit-out between the Crusaders and the Hurricanes! With the Chiefs sitting comfortably atop the NZ conference, a win here is vital for both teams as they push for a place in the play-offs.

While Europe were busy demolishing the USA in the Ryder Cup, there was rugby from all four corners of the globe to get stuck into over the weekend.
South Africa should have the better of Australia up front but they must not allow the backs any time or space, says Thinus Delport.
There was loads of great rugby to enjoy over the weekend including some PRO12 upsets and some controversial refereeing.
