Bulls v Cheetahs - Live
full-time Bulls 40 Cheetahs 24
80 The Cheetahs are under pressure behind their try-line and replacement back opts to dot the ball down. The hooter has sounded and referee Marius Jonker promptly blows the final whistle. Although the Cheetahs came back strongly in the latter part of the second half the Bulls had this match in the bag by half-time already. They certainly deserve this win!
78 TRY, CHEETAHS, BRUSSOUW! 40-24. Heinrich Brussow latches onto a pass from Tewis de Bruyn and shows great pace down the touchline. He bumps off a couple of defenders before toching down!
75 The Cheetahs are awarded a penalty and Sias Ebersohn takes it quickly. He offloads to George Earle who is dispossessed by Jacques Potgieter but when the ball comes out Louis Fouche knocks on.
71 The Bulls receive a penalty just inside their half when Labuschagne stops a maul illegally. The hosts kick for touch and are soon on the attack at a line-out just inside the Cheetahs' 22.
69 CONVERSION, CHEETAHS, S EBERSOHN! 40-19. The Cheetahs' replacement pivot wastes no time to add the extra two points.
68 TRY, CHEETAHS, NEL! 40-17. After a period of sustained pressure, the Cheetahs are rewarded when WP Nel forces his way over the line for his second try!
67 The Cheetahs attack close to the Bulls' try-line but captain Adrian Strauss and replacement flank Justin Downey are both stopped just short of the line!
63 TRY, CHEETAHS, LE ROUX! 40-12. Willie le Roux gathers a chip kick from Sias Ebersohn and races away, leaving the cover defence for dead, before scoring in the left-hand corner!
61 CONVERSION, CHEETAHS, S EBERSOHN! 40-7. Sias Ebersohn adds the extra two points to give some respectability to the score.
60 TRY, CHEETAHS, NEL! 40-5. WP Nel breaks his side's duck when he barges over the Bulls' try-line from close quarters!
59 CONVERSION, BULLS, STEYN! 40-0. Steyn maintains his 100 percent kicking record by adding the extras.

56 CONVERSION, BULLS, STEYN! 33-0. Steyn pushes his team further in the lead with the easy conversion.
55 TRY, BULLS, KRUGER! 31-0. Werner Kruger powers his way over the try-line after running onto a pass from Hougaard at close quarters!
52 YELLOW CARD, CHEETAHS, ANDRIES STRAUSS! The cheetahs inside centre is sent to the sin bin after the touch judge informs the referee that he pulled Jacques Potgieter by his hair.
51 The Cheetahs are trying desperately to get into this match and are stringing several phases together! They make little headway, however, and soon concede a turnover when Jansen is driven back in the tackle by Olivier.
47 The Cheetahs win a turnover inside the Bulls' half and try to launch a counter-attack but Labuschagne knocks on and the home side gains a reprieve.
44 Steyn is penalised for a dangerous tackle just inside his half and Smit puts the ball into touch on the edge of the Bulls' 22.

40 Riaan Smit gets the second 40 started! His kick is gathered by Juandre Kruger who sets up a ruck inside his 22.
Half-time Bulls 26 Cheetahs 0
40 From a scrum on the edge of the Bulls' five-metre line Hougaard boots the ball into touch and the hooter goes to signal half-time. The Bulls will try to continue where they left off, after the break, while the visitors have the proverbial mountain to climb to get back into this match.
37 CONVERSION, BULLS, STEYN! 26-0. Steyn adds another two points and the Bulls are in total control of this match now.
36 TRY, BULLS, HOUGAARD! 24-0. The Bulls forwards do well to put pressure on the Cheetahs' scrum on their five-metre line and when the ball pops out Francois Hougaard picks it up and almost walks over the whitewash!
35 Kruger runs onto a pass from Jacques Potgieter inside the Cheetahs' half but is stopped inside their 22. He offloads to Dewald Potgieter who knocks on.
32 Riaan smit does well when he puts the ball into touch deep inside the Bulls' 22. Kirchner reacts quickly and takes a quick throw-in before kicking the ball into touch close to the halfway mark.
28 TRY, BULLS, KIRCHNER! 19-0. Steyn launches a bomb when the Bulls are awarded a penalty and Johnson and Bjorn Basson both go up to compete for it. The Cheetahs number eight knocks it backwards and Kirchner is first to react when he gathers and dots down behind the visitors' try-line!
25 Steyn does well when he puts in a diagonal cross-field kick which rolls into touch inside the Cheetahs' 22.
23 CONVERSION, BULLS, STEYN! 14-0. Steyn steps up to the kicking tee and adds another two points to the hosts' lead!
22 TRY, BULLS, GREYLING! 12-0. Dean Greyling picks up the ball at a ruck and is pushed over the try-line by Juandre Kruger and Chiliboy Ralepelle!
20 From the restart Francois Hougaard makes a great break and the ball comes out to the backs where Wynand Olivier does well to offload to Jacques Potgieter who passes to Ndungane who goes over the try-line at the corner but Robert Ebersohn puts in a telling tackle which prevents him from scoring!
19 CONVERSION, BULLS, STEYN! 7-0. Morne Steyn adds the extras to extend his side's lead.
18 TRY, BULLS, SPIES! 5-0. Captain Pierre Spies runs onto a beautifully weighted pass from Francois Hougaard and barges over the try-line from close quarters!
16 The Cheetahs are on the attack deep inside the Bulls' 22 but Pieter Labuschagne is soon pinned for holding onto the ball on the ground.
13 The Bulls set up a driving maul from a line-out and then Wynand Olivier takes the ball into contact and sets up a ruck. The ball comes out to Steyn tries to land a drop-goal from about 30 metres out but his effort is wide of the uprights.
11 The Cheetahs attack from scrum close to the Bulls' try-line but Ndungane does well when he bundles Rocco Jansen into touch at the corner flag!
9 The Cheetahs attack from deep inside their own half and Van Zyl and Ashley Johnson are both prominent. They eventually string 10 phase together until they get stopped just short of the Bulls' try-line!
7 The Cheetahs are awarded a penalty just outside their 22 when Dean Greyling is pinned for illegal scrummaging. Riaan Smit puts the ball into touch on the halfway mark.

4 Juandre Kruger does well when he poaches a ball at a line-out from a Cheetahs throw-in.
2 The Bulls attack from the scrum and are soon close to the Cheetahs' try-line! The move comes to nothing though when Zane Kirchner joins the line but JJ Engelbrecht overcooks his pass and the full-back knocks on.
Kick-off Morne Steyn gets us underway! It's a deep kick and Heinrich Brussouw knocks on on his 22 metre line. Scrum to the Bulls!
Team News Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has made six changes to his starting line-up. Drotske has brought in Trevor Nyakane for the injured Coenie Ooasthuizen at loosehead prop while Marcel van der Merwe gets a rare start at tighthead in place of WP Nel. The only other change up front sees Ashley Johnson moving from the flank to number eight where he replaces Philip van der Walt. Johnson's place on the side of the scrum is taken by Pieter Labuschagne. Amongst the backs Willie le Roux takes over from Hennie Daniller at full-back while Rocco Jansen, who played on the right wing against the Waratahs, moves over to Le Roux's regular position on the left wing. This switch means that Philip Snyman will wear Jansen's number 14 jersey.
Team News Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has made just one change to his starting XV for this clash. Flanker Jacques Potgieter replaces CJ Stander, who moves to the bench in the place of Arno Botha.
