England v South Africa - Live
80 That is that then as the Boks put it out after a couple of phases. Wow, the talking point will be that decision to go for goal at the end but credit to South Africa, they battled hard for their win. England must now regroup before facing New Zealand.
79 FARRELL PENALTY! 15-16! Odd call from Robshaw.
77 England aren't done yet though as Care digs it out and with an advantage being played. Can England strike? Not just now but they come back for that penalty. This one is going to the corner for sure. No! Robshaw points to the posts.
75 England are back within striking range again as they throw in 20 metres out, with Schalk Brits now on for South Africa. But Ashton fumbles at a key time!
73 FARRELL PENALTY! 12-16! South Africa offend bang in front of the uprights so it's an easy kick for Farrell. What a final seven minutes we have here.
70 There is no joy however as the Boks defence is solid once again. In fact it results in a spillage so South Africa will pack down with a scrum on the edge of their own 22. No prizes for guessing where this one is going. Pienaar puts it straight out though!
68 Danny Care and Paice are on at nine and hooker respectively. Now, they have a scrum just outside the Bok 22 with Care eyeing up his attacking options.
67 The Springboks won't mind this passage one bit as a couple of chips over the top cause bother for their hosts. But wait, an excellent counter ruck from England forces the turnover so they have an opportunity to move back into South Africa's half.
64 England need field position and thus begin the kicking duel with the Springboks. However, Vermeulen's tackle on Ashton sees the Saracens wing fumble.
62 FARRELL PENALTY! 9-16! He makes it count.
61 Vermeulen is penalised for hands in the ruck so it's a chance for England to reduce the gap to seven points, which Robshaw hopes Farrell will do.
58 England need to swap Youngs for David Paice surely after another crooked line-out sees them lose possession. They are back where they started now.
56 This will help their cause as South Africa hold on in contact so Farrell will push his pack up to the Springbok 22. Huge moment in the game here one feels as Alberts goes for Marcell Coetzee. Not a bad replacement back-row to have at your disposal.
54 Wood and Corbisiero go for Haskell and Vunipola before England are lucky to get away with that dodgy line-out throw from Youngs. They keep possession then but are about 60 metres from the away try-line. They need even more from centre Tuilagi.
51 That is poor kicking from Farrell as his high efforts don't give his chasers any chance whatsoever. But wait, England launch an attack from their own 22 with Tuilagi wanting more! He hands on to Ashton who then passes to Brown before contact.
50 At last there is something for Tuilagi to cling to as he breaks from halfway - that is what the English fans want to see. However, a fumble at the base from nine Youngs ends that attack but still it was an encouraging passage for Lancaster's men.
48 Etzebeth is penalised but nothing more and to be fair there was little in that scuffle. England have a line-out about fifteen metres inside their own half but with ten points looking like a big margin to recover right now. Farrell is on for Flood by the way.
47 Alberts really does enjoy facing England but even he couldn't have wished for better luck than he got for that try. Now then, some afters to report here as lock forward Etzebeth is in the thick of it with plenty of players involved off the ball.
45 LAMBIE CONVERSION! 6-16! Two more points.
44 ALBERTS TRY! 6-14! What a comical try. It had deflections, fumbles and question marks all over it but after TMO consultation, it's that man Alberts.
43 SA have a penalty close to the touchline and choose to go for the line-out five metres out. Big moment here early in the second period as Etzebeth rises.
Second-half Welcome back to Twickenham where the Boks will have a scrum on the English 22 after an accidental offisde. Du Plessis is off for Pat Cilliers.
40 Half-time at Twickenham and the 40 minutes ends with England winning a scrum penalty, which is kicked into touch. Close then but Lambie's nine points to Flood's six is how things stand. Stay with us for the second-half which is on its way!
38 England needed their most recent steal as they now counter from their own 22, with Ashton chasing Youngs' clearance hard. But that is a great clearance from full-back Kirchner to save his side as the onrushing English were closing in on him.
36 What a titanic struggle this is. Vermeulen and then Robshaw soon after win turnover penalties for their side, with the latter seeing the English move up to the Springbok ten-metre. But again Young has his line-out pinched by Alberts this time.
34 Great stuff from Goode as he breaks from halfway and races into the 22. The quickly recycled ball comes right with Flood grubbering but that one goes dead. The chance is wasted but definitely positive signs from Stuart Lancaster's physical side.
32 Kick-tennis finally ends with Strauss taking it up on halfway.
31 A decent passage of play for England in opposition territory that ends with Flood grubbering for position down the line. However, there is concern for Barritt here as he copped a big hit off wing Pietersen after giving an earlier pass. Boks to throw in.
28 Youngs' throw isn't straight and it's interesting to see the Boks opt for the line-out instead of a scrum close to halfway - a sign they are wary of England's set-piece. England are back in possession before Flood puts one cross-field to wing Hougaard.
26 LAMBIE PENALTY! 6-9! No mistake from the number ten as he makes it three from three today. That's the first time the Boks have had the lead.
25 The Boks are finally finding some form as their big runners take it up before Lambie looks to launch Pietersen on the right, about 25 metres out. Patience is now being shown as the fly-half decides to take contact. It pays off as England are offside.
22 One bad kick from the tee is followed up by a shocker from Pienaar out of hand as he misses touch from a penalty. That sends SA back into their own half.
19 Corbisiero is getting the better of Du Plessis and that should lead to another three from Flood...no, that's a bad miss from the Leicester Tigers playmaker.
16 Nightmare stuff for Kirchner as he fumbles a bobbling territorial kick from Youngs in his own 22. So, a huge opportunity here for Flood and his backline.
15 LAMBIE PENALTY! 6-6! Robshaw is penalised after breaking early from a scrum on his own 22 so the scores are level at Twickenham Stadium.
12 FLOOD PENALTY! 6-3! Du Plessis is penalised at the scrum so that's one in the win column for Corbisiero. Up steps the returning Flood from the kicking tee...easy does it and England retake the lead in a good opening from the men in white.
11 Flood has left the field by the way temporarily so Owen Farrell is on for him and immediately puts up a tester for Kirchner. It will be an English scrum 30 out.
10 LAMBIE PENALTY! 3-3! Lovely strike from the Shark.
9 The relief doesn't last long as Etzebeth steals Tom Youngs' line-out and then Wood is penalised at a resulting ruck. Chance for Lambie to level matters.
7 What a start at HQ as now it is South Africa's turn to attack. It came from fly-half Flood being pressured and then floored as he tried to clear, which saw the ball turned over. However, the Springboks could not make that possession count 20 metres from his own line and in the end Northampton flanker Wood won a relieving penalty.
5 FLOOD PENALTY! 3-0! This time he make it count.
4 It is a slippery surface at Twickenham but England are making the most of their possession with a mixture of power and then pace from Brown, who takes them up to the 22. Then they go through the middle and it leads to another penalty offence!
2 Missed penalty shot from Flood though so it stays at 0-0.
Kick-off Here we go then with Toby Flood getting things going to the right and number eight Duane Vermeulen. Mistake from Ruan Pienaar as he is charged-down which then lands Pat Lambie in real bother and leads to SA offending at the breakdown.
Team news England make tweaks as Joe Launchbury, Tom Wood, Alex Corbisiero, Ben Morgan, Ben Youngs and Mike Brown come into the line-up. South Africa have named an unchanged XV. Get comfortable, take the phone off the hook and enjoy it!
Welcome Hello and welcome from Twickenham where the weather is as miserable as last week's English performance. Can they bounce back against the Springboks - a side they've not beaten in their last ten meetings - or will it be a green and gold day?
