80 The full-time siren rings through Loftus and the home crowd cheer their team on as they look for yet another five-pointer before the final whistle. They won't get it though, as Basson knocks on and that's the end of the game! The Bulls prevail and remain unbeaten at home this season.
78 CONVERSION, BULLS. Fouche takes over the kicking duties and converts his own try. 48-14!
77 TRY, BULLS. Basson turns on the gas and gets his team inside the opposition's 22. The Bulls are lining up! Out the ball comes, Steyn gets his pass away to Fouche who dives over to hammer the final nail in the Hurricanes' coffin.
75 Now the Hurricanes knock it on - fatigue setting in from both sides. So the Bulls have a scrum on halfway.
74 Hougaard feeds the Bulls scrum. Botha breaks off the back, links with Hougaard and the halfback goes blind to Ndungane... but the winger knocks on.
72 CONVERSION, BULLS. Steyn adds the extra two points... 41-14!
71 TRY, BULLS. The hosts take advantage of their extra man and Steyn puts replacement Mapoe over for the Bulls' fifth try of the night! That should wrap things up...
70 YELLOW CARD, HURRICANES. Trouble for the visitors after Eaton is sin-binned for slowing down the ball. So the 'Canes down to 14 men for the remainder of this match.
67 The Hurricanes try attack out wide, but get shut down by a wall of blue defenders as Pisi's pass to Leiua finds the touch judge instead.
64 Francois Hougaard (for Vermaak), Louis Fouchÿ¨ (for Wynand Olivier) and Grant Hattingh (for Kruger) are on for the Bulls. Lets see if they can reignite the Bulls, who have slipped down a gear somewhat.
61 A loose pass is snapped up by Basson but his kick goes straight into touch. Sloppy line-out ball for the visitors and the men in blue turn it over. Steyn kicks long but Barrett is there to return the favous and finds touch near halfway.
58 The 'Canes take it through the phases on their 22 and Barrett breaks the line. He gets it out to Taylor on the 22 and they work it back out to the forwards. The Bulls go offside and the Canes call for a scrum.
55 Spies leaves the field, and is replaced by Arno Botha.
54 CONVERSION, CANES. Barrett adds the extras. 34-14
53 TRY, HURRICANES. The visitors refusing to give up as Bateman does all the hard work before passing inside to Perenara and the halfback slides in for his second try of the match.
50 The Bulls steal the ball back and Vermaak finds himself in space. He's got pace but runs straight into Jason Eaton. The ball comes out for Kruger, but the lock puts it down and the crowd let out a loud sigh.
49 Replacements for the Bulls: off comes Ralepelle and Greyling on goes Willie Wepener and Frik Kirsten.
48 The ball comes out for Steyn, but the fly-half took his eye off the ball and put it down. You don't see that every day. Scrum to the 'Canes...
47 A few changes for the 'Canes now as Ben May and Jack Lam come on to try give the visitors a boost.
46 CONVERSION, BULLS. Steyn puts over his fourth conversion to bring his personal tally of points to fourteen. 34-7!
45 TRY, BULLS. Vermaak spins the ball to Dean Greyling who powers past Franks and falls over the whitewash... try? We're going upstairs... try!
44 Penalty to the Bulls. Steyn looks to be lining up another shot at goal, but he decides to take a quick-tap and puts Bjorn Basson away down the touchline.
42 CONVERSION, 'CANES. Barrett slots over the extras, and the 'Canes now trail by 20 points. 27-7
Second half Welcome back! TRY, HURRICANES. Steyn gets the second forty under way. Leiua runs it up and breaks off two tackles before offloading to Perenara and the scrum-half has an easy run-in under the posts - perfect start by the 'Canes!
40 The 'Canes determined to have the last laugh in this half, as Bateman looks to make up for his earlier blunder by breaking the Bulls' blue brick wall, but gets pushed backwards. The ball goes loose. Alapati Leiua picks it up (that's the first time he's touched the ball!), but gets pushed into touch and the ref blows for half-time oranges. The Hurricanes have lots of work to do in the second half. See you then!
37 CONVERSION, BULLS. Steyn's make it 27-0 with his conversion. The Hurricanes have some work to do now..
36 TRY, BULLS. Smith's replacement Tim Bateman tries to get a pass away to Savea out wide but Ndungane snatches the ball in mid-air and races in for the Bulls' second intercept try of the match!
35 Steyn's third penalty attempt strikes the upright, and bounces back into the hands of the Hurricanes who once again will attempt to run their way out of trouble.
33 Smith's departure seems to have pumped up the Hurricanes as they put eight phases togather on attack. Savea breaks out wide, runs out of space and puts in a chip over the top but Steyn has it covered. In comes Pierre Spies to clean out, Vermaak puts Ndungane away on the short side and the wing gets hit high... the ref awards the Bulls a penalty.
30 After several minutes, Smith is stretched off the field. Not a pretty site. We hope he's OK.
28 Trouble for the Hurricanes now after their captain courageous Conrad Smith is left motionless on the floor after taking a bad knock to his head in a tackle on Engelbrecht. The medics come rushing to the field and play stops as the All Blacks centre gets attended to... he's out cold!
25 CONVERSION, BULLS. Steyn adds the extras. 20-0!
24 TRY, BULLS. Now the Bulls do what they do best and maul it up towards the 'Canes' tryline. They continue to drive it up ... they hit fifth gear and Stegmann goes over for the try!
22 Steyn kicks it into the corner and Taylor takes it into touch so the Bulls have a line-out in the 22.
21 Barrett tries to spark his backs as he runs the ball but the Bulls have him pinned on half-way. Barrett loses it ... the hosts back in possession.
20 Flip van der Merwe loses it forward at the restart so the Canes have a scrum. That's the second time the Bulls have been unable to take the ball from the kick-off/restart.
18 CONVERSION, BULLS. Steyn's grandmother would get that conversion over, and the pivot does just that. 13-0!
17 TRY, BULLS. The 'Canes try to run it out of their half. Andre Taylor in possession, and the full-back puts his team on the front-foot. The Bulls rock-solid on defence as the visitors look to spread it wide, but a long pass from Ben Franks is intercepted by Engelbrecht who runs in for the easiest of tries under the sticks!
16 Ralepelle throws in, Vermaak fires out to Steyn who feeds his backs but JJ Engelbrecht loses the ball in midfield and the Hurricanes counter-attack!
15 The men in yellow need to watch their discipline after Victor Vito gives away their fourth penalty. Steyn can kick another one over from this distance, but is instructed to go for touch instead.
12 PENALTY, BULLS. Steyn gets thrown the kicking tee, lines it up and bangs it over. 6-0
11 The men in blue work their way inside the Hurricanes half, some good work from Chiliboy Ralepelle puts the visitors on the backfoot. The ref has his arm out for a penalty... the 'Canes offside. Ralepelle again, and the hooker goes over the whitewash, but the whistle was already blown.
9 Superb break-out from Pisi! The centre links up with the supporting Thrush, but the lock is dragged down. The 'Canes recycle the ball quickly, and Barrett stabs through a kick for Savea to chase but the ball rolls out over the deadball line... 22m drop-out for the Bulls.
6 PENALTY, BULLS. The Hurricanes front row are penalised and it's in kicking range of Morne Steyn. The pivot steps up for his first goal-kick of the match and makes no mistake. Bulls on the board! 3-0
5 Brad Shields can't take and spills the pigskin forward. So the now the Bulls will have the scrum feed - very stop-start this match thus far.
3 Huge shove from the Bulls pack and the hosts make amends from their poor start to the match by winning a free kick. Jano Vermaak taps and goes, before feeding Akona Ndungane who gets hurled into touch.
1 So Beauden Barrett gets us under way! It's a sloppy start for the Bulls as Juandre Kruger juggles the ball before losing it forward, which means the 'Canes will have the put-in at the scrum.
Team news The Bulls have named Wynand Olivier, Deon Stegmann and Jurgen Visser in their starting line-up. The Hurricanes welcome back All Blacks wing Julian Savea, while Tusi Pisi runs out in the number 12 jersey in place of Tim Bateman, while Ash Dixon will make his first Super Rugby start with hooker Motu Matu'u out injured.
Welcome Hello and welcome to Loftus Versfeld for the final clash of Round 12 between the Bulls and Hurricanes!
