WARATAHS 12-14 REDS
80 Time ticking away as the Tahs throw everything at the Reds now. Hooter sounds, Tahs on the edge of the Reds 22. Benn Robinson through! No support though, inside to Barnes. Wide to Chapman who is tackled, back infield. 13 phases now, all on the line... Barnes tries the drop and it's awful! Ball goes dead, Reds win! An error-strewn affair with a tight finish, Reds now heading to Christchurch for next week.
77 Unsurprisingly, he's missed it to the left, so the Reds still lead by two.
76 Great tackles from Cooper in particular as Skelton comes up short. Tahs win a penalty! Barnes to go for goal, Tahs only 1/4 for kicks all night so it's a risk.
74 Tahs still full of attacking endeavour looking for the win, but that last pass from McCutcheon is to no one and goes straight into touch. Cooper crashes up from the Reds lineout. Eventually cleared but not far, pressure now for the Reds.
72 No try and the Reds clear, Kingston knocking on after a big hit from Shipperley. Reds scrum.
70 Wide passing across to Morahan whose kick lands right in the hands of Volavola, putting the hosts back on the attack. Stolen by Faingaa who then knocks on. Big hit from Samo but the Tahs hold on, Hooper trying to shrug them off down the touchline to get the try... upstairs to the TMO.
68 Tahs so close to a try there after good work form McCutcheon off the bench, but the ball is sealed off and the Reds get the penalty and clear their lines.
65 Hooper working hard for the Tahs as they attack, offloading well in the Reds half. Frisby nearly intercepts Volavola's pass but knocks on, so it's a Tahs scrum.
63 Won at the breakdown by the Tahs, Foley clearing up to the Reds ten metre line. Gill nearly there with a turnover, Foley then makes a mistake and we come back for the Reds scrum.
61 Poor spill from Betham - not the first time tonight - so the Reds have a scrum in a good position just to the right 40 metres out. Fast from Cooper, deep pass to Lucas but the second pass doesn't connect with the ball flying into touch. Reds lineout.
59 Wide to the right from Barnes. Reds back in possession after a good turnover from Robinson. Loose passing feeds the Tahs good ball. Big defence forces the knock on so the Reds have a scrum on their own 22.
58 Reds off their feet at the breakdown from the restart, so Barnes will try and go for goal from the halfway line.
56 PENALTY, REDS, COOPER! 12-14: No problem for Cooper from that range and so the 2011 champions lead in Sydney.
54 Tahs engage early, Reds opting for the scrum themselves. Now a straight penalty and an easy three points or Cooper.
52 Ulugia penalised for a swinging punch that didn't actually connect, so the Reds have a lineout. Ten metres out but that ball goes forward. Tahs scrum near their own line.
50 Missed penalty from Cooper so the Reds remain one behind. Play stopped as Steve Walsh checks for some foul play...
48 Davies helped off - looks as though he hyperextended his knee there in a cruel blow. Dom Shipperley comes on. Cute attack from the Tahs as Crawford hits an inside ball, but they go backwards. Robinson hammered back in the tackle as the Reds press hard. Grubbered into touch by the Tahs.
47 Quick penalty from Cooper, Davies gets clattered and loses the ball forward. Nasty sounding injury as the medics come on.
46 PENALTY, REDS, COOPER! 12-11: Advantage to the Reds comes to nothing, so Cooper takes a shot at goal and cuts the deficit to one point.
42 McKibbin's kick goes wide and the Reds have a scrum on their 22. Cross field kick from Cooper to Davies but Crawford gets there first, bundled into touch.
Kick-off Second half underway in Sydney as Cooper kicks off. Strong burst from the Tahs and the Reds are offside so a kickable penalty for the Tahs about 40 metres out.
Waratahs 12 - 8 Reds
40 Scrum penalty to the Tahs and the ball is hoofed into touch - the hosts leading by four despite having had a man in the bin earlier on. Second half in Sydney coming up.
38 More Reds pressure, Cooper wasting the attack by chipping it through out of frustration. Tahs dropout goes long so the Reds attack from deep. Kick through is hacked on by Morahan, suspicion of a knock-on but Davies did ground the ball. TMO checking... Morahan has knocked on so it's a scrum to the Tahs.
36 Reds maul goes down, second penalty advantage. Tapped by Frisby, Reds looking to get back in front. Cooper's offload is intercepted but the kick is into touch, smart defence from the Tahs.
34 Better from the Reds keeping it tight down the left-hand side, winning a penalty. Kicked into the corner, still with the man advantage.
32 Scrappy passage with the Reds on the ball inside the Tahs half. Scrum to the Reds - very fast pace to this one and that's leading to so many errors.
29 TRY, WARATAHS, BARNES! 12-8: What a finish! Cooper's pass to Davies is intercepted by McKibbin, who holds up the defence and finds Barnes who flops into the corner from 70 metres out. Great moment on his final appearance for the NSW stalwart.
28 Super hit from Slipper on Robinson dislodges the ball, so that's a Reds scrum in the Tahs half.
27 Reds setup outside the 22 but that's strong from the Tahs, turning it into a maul and forcing the scrum.
26 YELLOW CARD, WARATAHS, ULUGIA! Reds getting their hands on some loose ball as Frisby's kick puts the pressure on. Barnes clears but Rocket Rod Davies runs it back and gets the penalty on halfway. Steve Walsh checking the tackle on the big screen... he's sent Ulugia to the bin! Allegedly a shoulder charge, bad call.
21 Tahs attacking now through McKibbin who is down on the deck and in need of some treatment. Tahs down by one and struggling at the breakdown, disarray being created by the Reds.
20 TRY, REDS, LUCAS! 7-8: Betham misses the pass so the Reds have a scrum now on the right of the Tahs 22. Offside advantage and Cooper taps it, looking wide... Lucas is in! Acres of space out there on the left and he goes in untouched, nice work from Cooper with the pass.
16 Chance for the Reds as Davies looks to be in from a suspicious pass from Frisby... ruled as forward by the TMO so no try and a Tahs scrum.
14 Tahs up to halfway from the restart. Ball pops out from Dennis but regathered by the hosts - ball eventually lost as Lucas recovers and Frisby kicks long.
12 TRY, WARATAHS, CRAWFORD! 7-3: Wild hands from the Reds inside their 22, nearly concede an interception but it comes back for a Tahs scrum about ten metres out. Step from Barnes but no way through, advantage being played as Cooper goes offside. Crawford on the inside ball, try! Smart finish from the full-back.
9 PENALTY, REDS, COOPER! 0-3: Over it goes! Cooper edging closer to 600 Super Rugby points tonight, just seven away now.
8 Lots of kicking from both sides as the Reds gain territory and then win a penalty. 25 metres out and Cooper will go for goal.
6 Slipper and Schatz combining for the Reds but that ball is forward, Tahs clearing away. Frisby finds a huge space and canters through. Harris kicks behind but Foley gets back, 22 dropout.
4 Quick lineout from the Reds but Cooper's kick goes straight into touch. Tahs lineout 40 metres out - won by the Reds. Grubber from Cooper takes one bounce into touch. Quick from the Tahs who counter through Kingston but it's turned over.
2 Tahs scrum, early engage and Horne carries over halfway. Timani chopped down and loses the ball, Reds attacking. Loop from Cooper working the short side, Cooper over the top and that's a good mark. Wide passes and Barnes clears long.
Kick-off Bernard Foley kicks us off. Wide ball to Lucas who gets chopped down at half-way. Frisby across field finds touch at the 22.
Weather Clear night in Sydney - has it really only been a week since the Lions? Kick-off coming right up.
Team news Israel Folau, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Wycliff Palu, James Horwill and Will Genia are absent for this one following their efforts for the Wallabies. That has seen the 'Tahs move people around in their side while the Reds give starts to Nick Frisby and Ed O'Donoghue. Kick-off is at 19:40 local (10:40 BST).
Welcome Hello and welcome to our second live game of the day. We are in Sydney for this one as the Waratahs host the Reds in what is always a tasty affair.
