Force v Lions - Live
80 What an incredible finish to the match! Both teams defended brilliantly as well as being superb at the break down. The defended on their line for the majority of the second half without conceding up until the last 10min. The Force will be elated as they overtake the Brumbies on the log! The Lions can be proud of their performance even though they weren't able to get a victory.
79 CONVERSION, HAYWARD, 29-19. Hayward adds the extras and that has won the game for the Force who keep their qualifying prospects alive!
79 TRY! FORCE, HODGSON, 27-19. Incredible stuff from the Force who bounce back and score! Hodgeson, probably one of the players of the season, goes over for another try!
78 CONVERSION, JANTJIES, 22-19. Jantjies converts his own try!
77 TRY! LIONS, JANTJIES, 22-17. The Forces scrum is under all sorts of pressure. The ball goes to Cummins who kicks one of the worst kicks ever! The ball loops to the Lions and Jantjies dots down!
76 The Lions bounce back and van Wyk makes a great run slicing his way through! He offloads to replacement Jantjies who goes over! They check with the TMO and a Force's foot just managed to dislodge the ball as he put it down!
75 CONVERSION, HOLMES, 22-12. The extra points are added!
74 TRY! FORCE, TUATARA-MORRISON, 20-12. Finally they've found a way through this defense! Holmes passes a flat one to Chris Tuatara-Morrison who breaks the line and goes over!
74 No try! What defense! A Lions arm has dislodged the ball over the line. 5m scrum to Force!
73 The Force keep crashing it up but the Lions defends holds! Zack Holmes has a go and breaks a tackle, is brought up short and reaches over for a try! Checking the grounding with the TMO!
71 The Force attack again in the Lions 22m and again the visitors turn over the ball! The Lions try run the ball and this time Hodgeson wins the ball back for the Force! Whitely attempts another turnover but knocks on. Force will have a scrum from 10m out.
67 The Lions are starting to believe they can win this after being under the kosh for the last 30 minutes! Force under a bit of pressure with a scrum deep in their half.
65 PENALTY, LIONS, BOSHOFF, 15-12. Boshoff nudges it over for three points. Great comeback after defending on their line for 10 minutes!
64 Ross Cronje puts a box kick over and Volmink chases and gathers! He gets brought up just short and the Lions are there in numbers! The Force infringe and Boshoff should add an easy three.
62 Brynard Stander makes a clean break but thanks only to extreme obstruction from his own teammate. The Lions kick into the Forces 22m for a line out.
59 The Lions survive again! Great defensive effort and then a brilliant turnover and clearance to get them a moments relief.
56 Jaco Kriel does extremely well to turn over the ball but the kick is charged down and the Force are on attack again! The Force come close and win a scrum 5m out. Lions surviving by the skin of their teeth.
54 The Force get a long rolling maul going and win a penalty from it! They kick for the corner to set up another maul!
53 The Force attack strongly with the Badger having a few strong runs! The Lions defend well in the danger zone and eventually turn the ball over right on their try line! Cronje ensures that they clear successfully into touch!
50 Ebersohn puts up a kick into the Lions 22m. Volmink drops it and the Force put the Lions under pressure! They manage to secure it and eventually find a good clearance out to half way!
48 The Lions choose to run it from their own line off a scrum. Volmink runs strongly as he shrugs off one defender but is eventually taken into touch.
45 No try! A bit unfortunate for the Force. A fellow Force player did get in the way of a Lions defender but he held his line the whole way.
45 After a few crashes they go wide to the Honey Badger who goes over in the corner! The TMO is being brought into the equation to see if there was any obstruction.
44 The Force win a penalty and Ebersohn finds a great touch 5m from the try line! Lions still a man down. Could be another try on!
42 The Lions are the first to attack but don't make much ground. They eventually knock on and Ebersohn kicks to Boshoff who finds touch on the half way.
41 Boshoff gets us started for the second half! Force gather and clear!
40 Hasn't been much in this wet weather game as both traded a few penalties. The whole game changed when Corne Fourie was given his marching orders for shoulder charging on defense. To be fair it was a really harsh call on the Lions prop. The Force took full advantage and have managed to run in two quick tries before the break! The Force will surely ride on this momentum as they head into the second half. The Lions will have a huge task to try and get a tour win from their 2014 campaign.
40 One of the worst kicks I've ever seen as Sias completely slices it out wide! That's the end of the half! The home side will be mighty pleased with the score!
39 TRY! FORCE, HAYWARD, 15-9. Clinical finish from the Force! They crash it up a couple of times before spreading it wide and it's a fairly simple run in for Hayward!
38 It's been held up and the Force will have another 5m scrum! Surely another try here!
37 The Force making full use of the yellow card as the Badger makes a cracking run into the Lions 22m! Ebersohn gets the ball and goes over the line! Having a look with the TMO to see if he grounded it.
36 CONVERSION, EBERSOHN, 10-9. Sias makes no mistake with the easy kick! The Force take the lead!
36 TRY! FORCE, HODGESON, 8-9. The Force take a scrum and use the extra man to their advantage as they pick and drive until Captain fantastic goes over!
35 YELLOW CARD, CORNE FOURIE. Bit of a harsh call but he's going to the sin bin for 10 minutes!
34 He's on his feet but most certainly concussed to a certain degree. Looks like Corne Fourie will get a card for the incident for not using arms in the tackle.
34 The Force attack the blind side through Dane Haylett-Petty but he's brought up just short! They continue to crash it up until Nathan Charles takes a blow to the head/neck and is out! The ref calls play to a stop while Charles gets medical attention.
33 The Force attack and there's a serious chance on! The Lions defend well and manage to slow the ball down before then Force can take advantage of the numbers out wide. The balls not coming out the ruck and the Force have an attacking scrum 5m out!
31 The Force take the ball through 10 phases but eventually lose the ball forward. Both teams battling to get a solid attack going.
28 PENALTY, LIONS, BOSHOFF, 3-9. Boshoff strikes it straight and sweet! The young Lions are now 6 points clear.
27 The Lions win a penalty as Cottrell is penalized. Boshoff will have a difficult shot.
26 The Lions attack strongly but Hodgeson pounces in at the breakdown and makes a steal! The Force kick but out on the full!
25 The Lions win a penalty as Pek Cowan is penalized at scrum time. Ref tells Cowan to look at the replay on the screen to see what he's doing wrong!
23 The Force had numbers out wide but unfortunately the pass from Dane Haylett-Petty was forward.
22 The Lions attack aggressively but lose the ball in a collision. The Force counter attack and put the ball to boot for Cummins to chase! The Lions get back and dot down for a 22m drop out.
19 PENALTY, LIONS, BOSHOFF, 3-6. No mistake from Boshoff who adds three to the tally!
18 Boshoff makes a half break and offloads to Armand van der Merwe! The Force infringe and Boshoff will have a chance to take the lead.
17 The Lions survive as the Force are penalized! Boshoff will get them into opposition territory with a big touch finder.
16 The Force forwards turn the ball over like they've been doing all season! Sias puts a smart kick into space for Cummins! Kriel is back to gather but the Force bundle him into touch!
13 Sias pushes it wide! Both teams just feeling each other out at this stage. Score remains 3 a piece!
12 The Lions have been penalized for holding on! Ebersohn will have a shot from about 40m out.
8 The Lions go wide after a scrum on the half way! A pass has been called forward and the Force will have a chance from a similar position.
5 PENALTY, LIONS, BOSHOFF, 3-3. Lions win a penalty and Boshoff of course doesn't miss...like ever.
3 The Lions forwards do great work after the reset and hold up the Force in a maul to win an attacking scrum!
2 PENALTY, FORCE, EBERSOHN, 3-0. Sias just keeps it between the posts! Weather is poor as the rain buckets down.
1 Sias Ebersohn gets us underway! The Lions attack but the Force turnover! First penalty goes to the Force as the Lions are caught off side!
Force news: Winger Dane Haylett-Petty and lock Wilhelm Steenkamp will return to the starting line-up when the Western Force takes on the Lions. Haylett-Petty missed the Force's last round match against the Stormers after succumbing to a groin strain suffered in the 23-16 win over the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein the week prior. The 24-year-old replaces Marcel Brache on the end of the backline after Brache sustained an ankle injury against the Stormers. Steenkamp returns to the run-on side after starting from the bench against Stormers, and will pack down in place of Adam Coleman, who will start from the reserves list. The Force has retained the remainder of the 23 from last weekend's match in Cape Town. Western Force Head Coach Michael Foley says his side is looking forward to returning to the 'Force Field' tonight.
Lions news: Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has rung the changes to his starting XV for tonight's clash with the Western Force in Perth. In the forwards, Ackermann has made six changes, which includes a new front row. Corne Fourie, Armand van der Merwe and Ruan Dreyer all move into the starting front row berths, with Rudi Mathee and Franco Mostert the selections at lock. Warwick Tecklenburg is also promoted from the bench and joins Warren Whiteley and Jaco Kriel - who are the only survivors in the pack from Sunday's defeat to the Waratahs - in the back row. Meanwhile, in the back-line, Ross Cronje will start at scrum-half and Anthony Volmink comes into the starting XV at left wing. Alwyn Hollenbach has been drafted in at inside centre while Deon van Rensburg will cover the outside centre berth. Coenie van Wyk will run out at full-back
Welcome to nib Stadium in Perth for the last tour match for the South African Franchises! Everyone has failed miserably except the Sharks, but the Lions will be hoping to catch the Force weary from their travels and grab a tour win! The Force will look to get a much needed win to keep them in contention for a play-off spot!

There was loads of great rugby to enjoy over the weekend including a masterclass from New Zealand!
Munster were last crowned PRO12 champions in 2011 and since then have seen their fierce rivals Leinster leading the way as far as the Irish teams are concerned.
So much can change in a week of sporting action and, sure enough, there have been plenty of highs and lows over the past seven days.
