Bulls v Rebels - Live

Last updated: 11th July 2014

40 The Rebels get a late penalty as Debreczeni lines up. But once again he sends his kick wide. That's half time. It's anyone's game!

38 Time and again the Bulls get into the red zone before making a mistake. Van Zyl makes a great little break around the fringes but good work from Shota Horie means the danger is averted.

36 The Bulls drive from the line-out but the maul gets fractured. Serfontein knocks on as he looks to breach the line. The Rebels also fumble so they have a defensive scrum to deal with.

34 Huge pressure on the Rebels as the Bulls kick into the corner. Debreczeni clears from deep behind his own tryline.

Yellow Card32 YELLOW CARD, REBELS, FUGLISTALLER. The Rebels had been warned and another infringement at the breakdown means the skipper will end the half in the bin.

Penalty30 PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 12-7. The Bulls plying the pressure now and the Rebels are struggling to cope. Hands on the deck and Pollard slots his fourth from four.

Penalty27 PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 9-7. The Rebels are pinged for obstruction so Pollard can put the home side back in front.

Conversion25 CONVERSION, DEBRECZENI. 6-7

TRY24 TRY, REBELS, DEBRECZENI. 6-5. The Rebels go on the attack as the ball comes out of the ruck from Fuglistaller. He finds Debreczeni on a great angle, the fly-half breaks two tackles to score under the posts!

22 Excellent break from Piet van Zyl but is isolated, turn over!

Penalty20 PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 6-0. The new Springbok fly-half doubles the lead for the hosts with his second kick of the night.

19 Marcel van der Merwe goes in the charge but the ball is lost forward. Rebels scrum but it needs a couple resets...

Yellow Card16 Textbook line-out and maul from the Bulls, but they're not going forward. The ref halts play and wants to have a look at some off-the-ball stuff...

16 Textbook line-out and maul from the Bulls, but they're not going forward. The ref halts play and wants to have a look at some off-the-ball stuff...

14 Pollard clears from the back of a scrum to allow the Rebels to counter near halfway. Tom English is bundled into touch, so the Bulls will have a line-out on their 10m line.

11 Excellent ball retention from the Rebels who take it through 18 phases. The Bulls working hard on defence inside their own half.

9 Some scrappy play opens up the field for Hougaard to have a run down the wing. The ball is turned over a few times and eventually the ref steps in. Debreczeni misses another one! 6 points have gone a begging already.

Penalty7 PENALTY, BULLS, POLLARD. 3-0. First blood to the hosts, easy kick for Pollard from right in front.

5 Matfield is played in the air, so Pollard has a penalty to kick into touch as they reach the Rebels 22. Willemse takes the ball down as the Bulls charge on...

3 Debreczeni's attempt from almost 50m and right on the touchline, is just off target. 0-0 it remains.

2 Telusa Veainu looks to attack from deep. Bandise Maku makes the tackle but uses his hands on the deck. Jack Debreczeni will have a shot at goal from long range.

1 Here we go! The Rebels kick off an it goes deep. The Bulls take it in, control, and Pollard returns fire.

0 Team news: Rebels flanker Scott Fuglistaller has been named as captain following Scott Higginbotham being handed a one-week suspension. Colby Fainga'a and Toby Smith will both celebrate their 50th Super Rugby match. A re-shuffle of the forward packs sees Wallaby Luke Jones move to the back of the scrum as blindside flanker and Fainga'a shift to number eight, with Cadeyrn Neville replacing Jones as the second lock. Injuries to Tom Kingston (knee) and Bryce Hegarty (shoulder) see Jason Woodward and Telusa Veainu return to the backline as part of a re-shuffle, which sees young gun Jack Debreczeni move to flyhalf and Woodward replace him at full-back.

0 Team news: Flanker Roelof Smit will make his first start for the Bulls. Jurgen Visser is back at full-back, having recovered from an abductor strain that kept him out of the Newlands clash and replaces Ulrich Beyers. Francois Hougaard will play on the wing, replacing the injured Akona Ndungane, with Piet van Zyl starting at scrum-half. With Grant Hattingh injured, Jacques Engelbrecht will move back to number eight, Jono Ross moves to the blinside flank and Smit slots in on the openside. Bulls boss Frans Ludeke also changed his front row. Marcel van der Merwe will start at tighthead prop, Bandise Maku gets a rare start at hooker and Morne Mellett will start at loosehead for the first time this season.

0 Hello and welcome to Loftus Versfeld for our coverage of the Bulls'' final match of the regular season. The three-time champs have failed to make the play-offs but they''ll want to go with a bang against a Rebels team that is set to finish last. Kick-off is approaching, don''t go away!
