Australia v France - Live
80 AUSTRALIA 50-23 FRANCE
80 PENALTY TRY, FRANCE! 50-23: There's something for the French to take to Melbourne, the new front row of Debaty, Tolofua and Slimani winning that one. Something for Australia to work on in the week, but they've been big winners here as Michalak converts. Seven tries and 50 points - the Wallabies will have a smile on their face later on. France have work to do.
79 Scrum penalty France - Ryan again penalised. Visitors kick up to the 22. Great carry from Slimani up to just five metres out. France held up, five-metre scrum in what will be the final play.
77 Nice play from Tolofua offloading to Lamerat, but France can't make the most of it. Cleared by Australia, who have taken their foot off the gas. Long kick from France bounces dead, scrum back.
75 Helter skelter stuff near Australia's line as Lamerat nearly works a try, but the ball is lost. Australia scrum and they clear.
72 TRY, FRANCE, PARRA! 50-16: A reprieve for France, Parra spinning out of the tackle to go over from short range after confirmation from the TMO. Michalak converts.
70 TRY, AUSTRALIA, MCCABE! 50-8: So easy. Folau stands up Fofana and breaks away, finding McCabe out on the wing who steps inside for the score. France are being embarrassed. Foley converts.
66 TRY, AUSTRALIA, BEALE! 43-6: That's try number six! Finished by Beale but great work from Kuridrani running off Foley's pass, finding the man on his outside to give Beale an easy finish off a no-look pass. France torn apart again. Foley converts.
64 Australia lineout in the France half. Hooper with a sharp break but then Ryan comes in at the side to the ruck and France get the penalty. Good work from Carter but it comes to nothing.
61 Kuridrani penalised for not rolling away in the tackle after making a big hit on Fofana. France applying the pressure, but where's the breakthrough? Another horrible pass and the ball is lost.
59 France looking for something to take into the next Test. They win a penalty and kick to the corner. Le Roux coughs it up in the tackle from Toomua and Australia clear.
57 TRY, AUSTRALIA, CUMMINS! 36-9: Top carry from Slipper wins the Wallabies an advantage. Front foot ball, wide to Folau who finds Cummins on the switch for a super try! All too easy. Foley converts. Brilliant hands all round from Foley, Toomua and Ashley-Cooper before Folau got the ball. Foley converts.
55 After all that pressure, the Wallabies are penalised for not letting the scrum settle. Only a free kick so they will have the lineout outside the 22.
53 Michalak doesn't get back onside and blocks Ashley-Cooper's charge for the line, so is that a Penalty Try? No it's not. Lengthy stoppage but Michalak is adjudged to have got back in time for the tackle. Scrum five to the Wallabies.
52 Now it's opened up. Ashley-Cooper steps through on his inside and releases Cummins, stopped just short of the line. Recycled and Ashley-Cooper is there with a short-range dart, but we need TMO confirmation. Upstairs we go.
50 Both teams feeling each other out with France stuck in the own half. Wallaby defensive line holding firm. Chip over the top from Michalak gathered by Foley and Kuridrani's pass flies into touch.
48 Wallabies a bit sloppy so far, Hooper losing the ball on a carry. Struggling for the same amount of possession as they had in the first half. Waiting for a breakthrough.
46 Nice move from France trying to release Huget into space. France up over halfway. Keeping it tight, showing good patience. Big hits from Palu and Hooper rushing up but France reach 18 phases before the ball is dropped by Domingo. Crushing.
44 Better from France at the breakdown, isolating the attacker and winning a penalty on their 22 to kick to touch.
42 Nearly a special moment from Bonneval, but he can't regather his chip and Toomua clears long. Michalak running back with interest but Fardy does well at the ruck to win the penalty. Cleared to touch.
40 Time to resume in Brisbane - can France begin a fightback? Michalak restarts.
40 AUSTRALIA 29-9 FRANCE
40 That thankfully for France, is that. They trail by 20 points going into the break and are in danger of racking up a serious cricket score here. Australia look like they have plenty more tries in the tank. Second half coming up.
39 TRY, AUSTRALIA, TOOMUA! 29-9: What a calamity. Machenaud's pass to Le Bourhis isn't taken and the mad scramble that ensues sees neither player touch the ball down over their own line, with Toomua pouncing to score. Farcical. Foley converts.
38 Can the Wallabies add a fourth try before the break? Folau carries over the 22. Simmons through a hole! Needs support but it can't get there quick enough. Shocking pass to Le Bourhis and Australia may have scored! Up to the TMO - try or no try?
35 PENALTY, FRANCE, MICHALAK! 22-9: Nice kick from Machenaud puts the Wallabies back down by their 22. Turned over by Domingo and France attack, Fofana over the 22. Fardy offside, France penalty. Michalak converts.
33 TRY, AUSTRALIA, HOOPER! 22-6: It's given! TMO adjudges the pass from Kuridrani was flat, an impressive flick over his head to Hooper, with the flanker scoring the try. Foley converts.
32 Wallabies sniffing another try and there it is! Hooper canters into the corner untouched for the third try... but was the pass forward? The TMO is having a look.
30 White takes over the kicking duties and lands a pearler from out on the left, but he can't quite bring it round through the uprights. Gap remains at nine points
28 Wallabies trying to play the short passes but Carter can't get the ball away to Cummins down the blindside channel. Scrum penalty to Australia, Mas losing his bind.
26 PENALTY, FRANCE, MICHALAK! 15-6: Simmons penalised and Michalak fires the ball over from down on the left to close the gap to nine.
24 TRY, AUSTRALIA, ASHLEY-COOPER! 15-3: A bizarre one! White's pass is nearly intercepted by Fickou and the ball ricochets back into the hands of Toomua who offloads for Ashley-Cooper to go in untouched. France well behind now. Foley hits the woodwork.
23 Australia enjoying all the ball right now, good handling skills to keep the ball alive. Dabbed through by Folau for Cummins but he can't quite get there! Metres out now. Can they score again?
21 Folau takes contact as he goes up to take the high ball. Kicking battle ends with Michalak finding touch over halfway.
19 TRY, AUSTRALIA, FOLAU! 10-3: Great hands from the Wallabies make the space for Folau to beat his man and score! Palu releases out the back and the offload from Slipper is crucial to give Folau enough space to spin and then finish. Foley converts.
18 Sustained phases from the Wallabies until France go offside. Foley not going for goal, kicks into the corner. Statement from Australia here.
16 That attack doesn't work out for France, a poor kick across field easily marked by the Wallabies and then Michalak fires the response out on the full. Basic errors. Australia with the lineout on the far side.
14 Free kick to France at the scrum, who opt to pack down again. Wallabies scrum creaking as France get the penalty and kick up to the 22.
12 Penalty won at the scrum by Australia, who have the marginally heavier pack. Foley hits the upright! France will have the 22 as we stay all square.
10 Le Bourhis knocks on trying to take a box kick and the Wallabies have great position here on the near side with a scrum on the edge of the 22.
9 Progression for France as they win a penalty and kick up into Wallaby territory. Maestri wins the lineout and Fickou is on the charge, finding Le Bourhis with a wide ball. France so close but Cummins intercepts, White clearing to touch. Breathless stuff!
7 Australia back on the front foot from the lineout, but the pass wide to Cummins is too far ahead of him and flies into touch. France lineout.
5 DROP GOAL, FRANCE, MICHALAK! 3-3: Moore hobbling as France win the ball from the restart. Deep pass for Fofana, stepping past one. Cute offload from Fickou as Michalak drops back... drop goal! Boos from the crowd as the France number ten levels the scores with a good strike. Moore has gone.
3 PENALTY, AUSTRALIA, FOLEY! 3-0: Kicked through by Foley to no effect so the Wallabies will have the penalty. Foley lining up a shot and he lands it. Concern for the Wallabies with captain Moore down on the ground as the fly-half knocks the ball over.
2 France go wide early, Fickou running up to halfway. Looking left and right as Michalak dictates. Vahaamahina spills and Wallabies counter! Folau up to the 22. Advantage, and a second. Looking for a try...
0 Anthems concluded - great moment for Carter following in the footsteps of his father. Foley to start the proceedings. We're underway!
0 A fine dry night in Brisbane as both teams enter the fray. Which France will turn up? How will McKenzie's Wallabies fare? Into the unknown we go.
0 Wycliff Palu will play his 50th Test. Ewen McKenzie has also chosen a new playmaking partnership with Nic White and Bernard Foley earning their spots at scrum-half and fly-half respectively.
0 Frédéric Michalak will start at fly-half for France against the Wallabies. Tour captain Thierry Dusautoir has not been selected and with Pascal Papé not included in the tour squad, Nicolas Mas will skipper the side.
