The Brumbies have everything to lose in their must-win Super Rugby contest against the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday.

The Brumbies - chasing their first finals appearance since their tournament-winning season of 2004 - need to beat the Waratahs, as well as the Blues in their final game to a guaranteed a place in the knockouts.

With the play-offs no longer a focus for the Tahs, Michael Foley's troops will be out to ruin the hopes of the current Aussie conference leaders and influence the make-up of the top six.

The Waratahs have been hit by a late blow ahead of their clash against the Brumbies as prop Sekope Kepu has been ruled out due to injury.

His absence means Paddy Ryan will earn his first start of the year, with another Sydney Uni prop, Jeremy Tilse, coming onto the 'Tahs' bench.

Unchanged

The Brumbies have named an unchanged team to face the Waratahs, meaning Henry Speight, Sam Carter, Dan Palmer and Ben Alexander will retain their places in the starting XV.

Head coach Jake White is pleased at being able to keep his team intact and believes the team will secure a position result providing they can execute.

"At this stage there's still a lot of rugby left for us, potentially we still have four games to play so in that regard it's great to have been able to keep the same team together," commented White.

"We've got to focus on executing well, doing the things we've done well all year both defensively and in attack and things should take care of themselves."
