Sale will look to make a giant leap towards safety when they take on Gloucester in Friday's Aviva Premiership encounter.
The Sharks have opened up an eight-point gap between themselves and bottom club London Welsh - that means victory over Gloucester will leave the Exiles needing a minor miracle from their remaining three games.
Sharks boss Steve Diamond has made just the one change to his line-up following the 33-33 draw against London Irish - with Will Addison replacing Charlie Amesbury on the wing.
Gloucester welcome back England No 8 Ben Morgan for their trip to Salford City Stadium.
Morgan has recovered from an ankle injury to take a place among the replacements following the Amlin Challenge Cup loss to Biarritz.
Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Davies has made five changes to his starting XV for the clash.
Australia hooker Huia Edmonds comes into the pack, while in the backs Dan Robson, Shane Monahan, Billy Twelvetrees and Rob Cook all return.
