The Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has made three changes to his line-up for Saturday's clash with the Reds in Hamilton.
Tim Nanai-Williams, who has previously impressed in the No 13 jersey, starts on the wing while prop Ben Tameifuna and flanker Sam Cane are added to the pack.
Ben Afeaki and Japan-bound Lelia Masaga drop out the squad, while Fritz Lee starts on the bench.
Michael Kainga is also named among the replacements as front-row cover.
Reds winger Rod Davies makes his long-awaited return to the starting line-up for Saturday's clash with the defending champions.
Davies has been sidelined this year with a hamstring injury, however he showed he is back to his best after coming off the bench against the Highlanders.
Davies is one of two changes made to the Reds squad, with fellow winger Chris Feauai-Sautia named on the bench.
