Western Force have named eight changes to their starting line-up ahead of Saturday's Super Rugby clash against the Reds in Perth.

Australian internationals Nick Cummins and Brett Sheehan both make their return following spells on the sidelines due to injury.

Injuries sustained by Winston Stanley and Will Tupou have led Michael Foley to call Ben Jacobs into the starting XV.

With Jayden Hayward reduced to the bench Sam Norton-Knight switches to full-back with Sias Ebersohn given the nod at fly-half

Meanwhile Chris Alcock and Kieran Longbottom join the pack at the expense of Ben McCalman and Salesi Ma'afu as the Force seek just a third victory of the Super Rugby campaign.

The Reds, who are looking to step up their bid for the Australian Conference title, have made three changes for the trip to Perth.

Albert Anae will make only his second start for the franchise, while Greg Holmes joins him in a new-look front row.

In the backs, Dom Shipperley starts on the wing, with Rod Davies having been ruled out through injury.

Beau Robinson makes his return to the Reds set-up on the bench after recovering from a troublesome ankle injury.

What they said...

Western Force head coach Michael Foley

"This week Nick and Brett return to the side after lay-offs from injury, while Ben will make his return to Super Rugby after a number of years playing overseas.

They all bring a great deal of experience and will be looking to contribute towards what needs to be a complete team performance on Saturday."

Reds director of coaching Ewen McKenzie

"The margin between winning and losing is always tight and we've already seen this season that if you are even marginally below your best you will get beaten.

"There are a lot of reasons for us to be excited about Saturday's game so we're looking forward to the challenge of travelling to Perth to play the Force."
