The Cheetahs will look to move to the top of the South African Conference when they tackle the Hurricanes on Friday.

The Cheetahs are currently two points off the pace in second - with the Bulls leading the way.

Coach Naka Drotske has made just the one change to his line-up, with Frans Viljoen replacing the injured Lappies Labuschagne.

There is also an alteration on the bench, with Sarel Pretorius returning to provide cover for the No 9 jersey.

The Hurricanes have made four changes to their starting XV - with captain Conrad Smith ruled out with concussion.

Victor Vito will take over the captaincy, while Reynold Lee-Lo replaces Smith in the centres to make his first start.

Tim Bateman also comes into the midfield, while prop Ben May and flanker Faifili Levave bolster the pack.

Hurricanes will make late decisions over the fitness of Jack Lam and Andre Taylor - with Karl Lowe and James Marshall on standby.

What they said...

Cheetahs head coach Naka Drotske

"We don't have the luxury of a rotation policy because we don't have as much depth as some of the bigger unions.

"The players that played the 10 games before the bye were basically the same players, and I could sense against the Kings that the guys were tired.

"But with regards to intensity there is no excuse not to come back with a bang against the Hurricanes."
