The Highlanders have rejigged their half-back options for the clash with the Crusaders on Saturday.

Jimmy Cowan and Chris Noakes had started the nail-biting win over the Chiefs in the opening round of games however they have been replaced by Aaron Smith and Lima Sopoaga.

Cowan starts the New Zealand derby on the bench, while Noakes, who had impressed on his debut, has been ruled out through injury.

Colin Slade is poised for his first start of the season against his former team-mates - with the All Blacks fly-half recovering from injury to earn a place on the bench alongside James Haskell.

Todd Blackadder has made just one change to his Crusaders line-up.

With Ryan Crotty out injured Adam Whitelock comes into the midfield, Zac Guildford returns from suspension to start among the replacements.
