The Hurricanes welcome back hooker Dane Coles and full-back Andre Taylor for their Super Rugby clash against the Southern Kings on Saturday.

Coles comes back into the side after a two-week spell on the sideline after sustaining an ankle injury as the Hurricanes take on their first South African opponent of the campaign.

Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett favours Taylor ahead of James Marshall after his performance off the bench in their victory against the Highlanders.

Meanwhile captain Conrad Smith and scrum-half TJ Perenara have caused concerns for Hammett with both having to complete fitness tests on Thursday to confirm their inclusion.

Problem

The Southern Kings are boosted by the return of Andries Strauss after an injury lay-off as he comes into the side as captain.

Kings coach Matt Sexton is without full-back Cornell Du Preez due to a hamstring problem which sees Devin Oosthuizen make the starting XV.

Steven Sykes replaces Daniel Adongo in the second row as he makes his comeback to the squad for the clash at the Westpac Trust Stadium.

Oosthuizen's inclusion means Rynier Bernardo comes onto the bench where he will be joined by Hanness Franklin who have recovered from torn ligaments.
