Ruddock: Not happy with ref
Worcester coach Mike Ruddock admits his side are yet to strike the right balance in attack after their 29-7 loss at Gloucester.
The Warriors are still searching for their first win in the new Guinness Premiership season after going down at Kingsholm.
They shot themselves in the foot with an error to set up the home side's first try, scored expertly by James Simpson-Daniel, and the new boss believes his side must learn when is the right time to be creative.
"We made a fantastic clean line-break from out wide before we lost possession and Gloucester scored. One pass let us down," the former Wales coach said.
"We want to have plan A, which is to move the ball one way, and plan B which is to tighten up when we need to as well.
"I felt we drove well, but were prevented from getting too much reward. It's a balance between mixing the game up and keeping it tight as well."
He added: "You could argue that Gloucester should have conceded a sin-binning because there was a couple of incidents near their line when you could see them coming around the sides of mauls offside."
Opposite number Dean Ryan was more keen to talk about Gloucester's new £10million C&G Grandstand which helped bring in a record crowd of 15,781.
The Cherry and Whites are unbeaten so far this year as they look to go one better than last season when they lost in the final to Leicester.
"This is a significant step forward for the club," he said.
"Everybody should be aware that there has been masses of work to get this game on.
"We knew it was a tight deadline, so credit to everybody. I'm pleased we played a part to make it a bit of a party."
