Director of rugby Dean Ryan admitted that his Worcester Warriors certainly experienced pressure en route to claiming their first victory of the season in the LV= Cup on Friday.
The midlanders beat Cardiff Blues 21-16 at the Arms Park to help lessen to gloom around Sixways.
Worcester have lost all seven league games they have played so far this season and are currently nine points adrift at the base of the Premiership table.
Ryan said: "Let's not pretend we've solved everything tonight.
"But we've got a win and we've got a few youngsters playing - so that's good.
"I thought the first-half performance was excellent.
"But the second half showed some of our vulnerabilities under pressure and that just shows where we are and how we're growing.
"We had to make a few changes in the second half, which didn't help our momentum but to come away from here and get a result is very pleasing."
Blues defence coach Dale McIntosh added: "We let them into the game by missing one-on-one tackles.
"Our systems were fine but we allowed them to build a lead and it was a big job to pull it back.
"But their attitude and intent in the second half were excellent."
