Nathan White: Grabbed Connacht's second try
DTH Van der Merwe scored two tries after the break for Glasgow
DTH Van der Merwe scored a brace of second half tries as Glasgow beat RaboDirect Pro12 opponents Connacht 27-17 to collect a bonus point victory in Scotland.
Sean Lamont and Peter Murchie had touched down twice before the break although two Connacht tries against the run of play kept the match interesting for the most of the 80 minutes.
Lamont raced into the corner for Glasgow's opening try on 19 minutes before Murchie added a second nine minutes later when his weaving 40-yard run ended a few yards close to the right post.
The led 15-0 but Connacht narrowed the deficit with Mark McCrea just getting to a clever sidefoot from sub Jack Carty first four minutes before the break.
Glasgow extended their advantage seven minutes into the second half as Van der Merwe grabbed hold of a loose ball before forcing his way over from 20 yards.
However, straight from the re-start a lapse in concentration and a handling error allowed Nathan White to grab a second try for the visitors.
But five minutes from time Van der Merwe finally killed off Connacht with the best try of the game.
Substitute number 10 Ruaridh Jackson worked a bit of magic, Murchie kept the move going before the powerful Canadian sprinted down the wing to secure Glasgow's second triumph of the season.
