Maxime Medard: Scored the opening try for Toulouse
Luke McAlister: Scored 17 points for Toulouse against Montpellier
Toulouse have moved to just three points behind leaders Toulon after a 27-9 victory over Montpellier on Friday.
The match remained very much in the balance during a tight opening half-hour, however Toulouse never looked back once Maxime Medard crossed just before the interval.
Timoci Matanavou added a second try with seven minutes left, while former New Zealand international Luke McAlister landed 17 points.
Buston Moyano slotted over three first-half penalties for Montpellier but they could find no way through a rock-solid Toulouse defence at the Stade Ernest-Wallon.
Toulouse now climb to second in the Top 14 standings, with Toulon set to take on third-placed Clermont on Saturday.
Montpellier, on the other hand, remain in fourth - six points behind Toulouse.
