Full-back Sam Davies scored 22 points as the Ospreys registered the biggest win in their history with an 11-try, 75-7 trouncing of Treviso at the Liberty Stadium.

The one-sided victory - the Ospreys scored 54 points in the second half - moved the Welsh region up to third in the RaboDirect PRO12 table.

After a scoreless first quarter it was one-way traffic as the Ospreys went past their previous best win - 68-8 against the same opposition in the 2007-08 season.

It was a useful run out for fly-half Dan Biggar and scrum-half Rhys Webb, who both had plenty to play for.

With pressure on Rhys Priestland and Mike Phillips after Wales' defeat in Ireland last weekend, the Ospreys half-backs - who played 47 minutes each - are being tipped for possible inclusion against France on Friday night.

Biggar and Webb, who scored one of the tries on his 100th appearance for the Ospreys, were joined by Welsh squad colleagues Ryan Bevington, James King, Rhys Webb and Ashley Beck in the starting line-up.

Frustrating

The Ospreys made a frustrating start, failing to trouble the scoreboard operator during the first quarter.

But two tries came along in the space of two minutes at the start of the second quarter as they led 14-0 on 24 minutes.

Captain Jonathan Spratt crossed and he was followed over by centre Beck over for the second converted try.

A quickly taken penalty by Webb should have produced a third try but wing Aiesa Natoga put a foot in touch five metres out.

But the third try came when Webb burst clear from inside the 22 as Ospreys led 21-0 at the break.

That became 28-0 with a second try for Spratt 34 seconds after the restart to secure the bonus point after some good interplay with Natoga and Beck.

And the fifth try came through Natoga to make it 35-0 on 48 minutes.

Rampant

Treviso responded with a converted try for replacement flanker Jacopo Sarto - but that was cancelled out three minutes later for a well-worked try for wing Jeff Hassler, who was followed in by Davies for try number seven two minutes later.

Replacement Dan Baker registered the eighth try just after Alberto Di Bernado was sin-binned and two minutes later replacement centre Hanno Dirksen was over for the ninth try as the Ospreys led 61-7 on 65 minutes.

There was still time for two more tries. First replacement Ryan Jones scampered over before the scoring was rounded off by Davies' second score, who added a sixth conversion.
