Evans: First-half try
Glasgow capitalised on a string of handling errors from their opponents to claim their first victory in Cardiff with a 21-5 triumph in the Magners League.
Such was the hapless nature of the home side's performance that Warriors fly-half Dan Parks was able to miss three penalties and a conversion, but with 15 minutes left the match was already beyond the Blues' reach.
Thom Evans gave the visitors a healthy advantage with a first-half injury-time try while Johnnie Beattie also crossed in the second-half to condemn Cardiff to defeat.
Parks kicked Warriors into a 6-0 lead inside 20 minutes but Blues started brightly with busy number eight Andy Powell causing problems.
And it was Powell who earned his side a rare penalty of their own, only for Leigh Halfpenny to make a hash of the attempt on 32 minutes.
Glasgow's kicking from the hand was more effective than Parks' place kicking and their work eventually created the first try, Bernardo Stortoni's steepling effort was fumbled by Gareth Cooper allowing Warriors to seize control, before Parks chipped through for Evans to race on to and touch down.
Parks pushed his conversion attempt and then hit the bar early in the second period as he looked to extend his side's 13-0 lead.
Blues continued to turn over the ball though and Parks nearly made it to the line only for centre Gavin Evans to make a try-saving tackle.
But the hosts committed another infringement shortly afterwards and this time Parks made no mistake, and when Cardiff shot themselves in the foot again by spilling it on the Scots' 22, Evans raced clear before sending number eight Beattie over under the posts.
A late try from flanker Sam Warburton spared the Blues an ignominious blank but a last minute yellow card for Glasgow replacement Calum Forester made no difference to the outcome.
